Don’t buy the chinese ‘alltoo’ one as it isn’t deep enough and doesn’t engage very well – its £15-20 on ebay and aliexpress.

Have you found another one that works?

It would be nice to worry about earning £1k in interest.
If you’re in the same boat OP, put the money where ever gives best interest.
It’s been constantly changing the last 3 weeks or so.

@granny_ring damp in a cupboard is condensation forming on a cold spot with lack of ventilation. Normally on external walls but party walls can be thermal bridges. Is it on the side of a chimney?

Yes it is, Cupboard built in the recess. Have also got damp on the front face either side of the blocked off opening.
There is a vent just above skirting height.
Tbh, the cupboard was full of junk so once it’s dried out things will be stored in those plastic storage boxes leaving room for air to circulate.

Having had a felt roof on my shed and various patches over the years….
Following a thread on here I put a piece of dpm over and then a pond liner.
    All good so far.
    Gone and done it now……

Cheers, confused by the puller though.
Thought it was a left hand thread using one of these?

Or can I replace the chainring without the spider?
The ones I’ve seen online so far are complete with spider.

    Good timing this.
Have noticed ‘rising damp’? No not Rigsby lol on one of our party walls in a cupboard in the dining room.
I was thinking/dreading that we’d have to get dpc injection done at some point, not realised that it’s ‘snake oil’…

There’s too much choice out there!
I’ll have a read up on those suggested ta.

Would a positive pressure ventilation system be a better solution?

That sounds expensive, whatever it is?

I noticed that with my current Shimano brakes, the OEM resin pads have significantly more material than aftermarket ones. The Shimano pads are about 2/3 pad material and 1/3 backing plate, the aftermarket ones are about 50:50 so you’ll get a lot more life from the OEM ones. I assume the sintered Shimano pads are the same but I don’t know.

    This.
I’m about to replace the discs & pads on the shimano deore 4 pots.
I’ve just bought some sintered & kevlar pads from Superstar and noticed the difference as well in the thickness of material.
Also ordered some cheap ones of Aliexpres after reading a thread on here, still waiting for those to arrive.
Will update when I’ve fitted and tested.

Ok I remember back in the day that you could run 8 on 7,9 on 8 etc but yes going the other way = less space on the cassette gears I guess.

    Checked again today.
Lever coming back further to the bars again. Attached funnel and air bubbles again…..pinged lever and adjusted reach screw which got the air out, for now.
No fluid that I can see coming from the lever so it must be the piston seals?

Funnily enough I was wondering about pad wear so I’ll try that first cheers for tip.
I’ve just ordered some Superstar pads (20% off at mo) as well as some cheap ones off Aliexpress.

So, zip ties off and both brakes felt good. Next day with bike not moved and stood in wheel stand, the rear, not so firm.
So bleed funnel reattached pinged lever a few times as I’d done with the original bleed and more air bubbles present . Nice firm lever. All good.
Roll on to this afterron, lever softer again. I’ll check pistons for leaks in the morning. Do seals in the levers go as well? I couldn’t see any moisture there.

    Cheers

    @dove
, yeah I’ve emailed them to notify me when in stock.

    @steve
, I was thinking this but knowing me and my measuring I would end up with loads of wrong sized o rings ;-)

    @ rockhopper
I think with yours it does say that when you look at the postage part, if you are above the 135 spend you get the extra fees.
Just confused with mine as it was below the limit.
I’ll check the order again to see if it’s changed.

Took a punt on r2 bike.
£60 order, no VAT added their end from what I could see so will get charged this end plus handling fee?

Not heard of those but I was an installer back in late 80s so I’m well out of touch with how things are now.
Back then the spray foam/balls didn’t have a great reputation if I recall?
We used a treated mineral fibreglass system. The other big player was using rockwall mineral.

Like I say, things probably have moved on since then so good luck.
