Smarty is a month-to-month rolling contract. Prices start at £6/month.

If referral codes were allowed, I could give you a code that would net him a discount. But they aren’t, so whatever you do don’t PM me to ask.

    :-)

Doesn’t sound too good a service and they should have got in touch by now but I’d back off a bit with the constant calling/emails to once a week maybe?
We had issues with ours during the Covid period and the poor servive was blamed on Covid, not sure I agee with that entirely but hey ho we got there, in the end.

    Hope you get it sorted.

LOL the joys of Christmas. Working Xmas & NY so no awkward situations!!
Tbh, for a few years now we’ve told friends/family that we’re not doing presents and we now donate to charities.
It’s a win win in my eyes. We get no tatt now and charities need money now more than ever don’t they…
We also send a lot less xmas cards now, instead txt xmas wishes message and inform them of what charities benefit.
Some still send us cards, some don’t. Those that don’t send cards don’t txt either :-)

3 x 700c inner tubes looped together works for me.

One end looped round the handlebars of the towed bike, the other end looped around my camelbak waist strap (to avoid any additional stress on the seat tube of my bike.)

Sounds like the best & cheapest….?

How is your front chainring? As the chainring wears it will start to grab and release the chain which can feel like slip. If you turn the cranks on the workstand you may see it happening (normally at about the 8 o’clock position on the chainring).

Thanks I’ll try that, It’ll be in the stand to change the mech anyway so worth a look.
I’ll try a take a pic of cassette with the wheel out too.

It’s got a new chain on and it’s making an occasional noise, maybe slip in 10th. Hard to explain, it doesn’t fill me with confidence tbh. Only done a few runs up the hill and down to bed new pads & discs in so far.
I’ll try the new mech first then cassette if it still happens I think.
Failing that I’ll set light to it.

Ended up buying a Meaco 12L low Energy one this time around.
I ‘bought into’ the HEPA filter thing.
Anyone else got one of these?
It does run quieter than the DD8L but it seems to take longer to bring the humidity down.

We have tried the ematrix and gone back to the racematrix. Can’t tell the difference for the extra cost.

    Cheers Tracey.

Well it confused the parcel force driver enough both times to say they couldn’t find the house lol so once I’d filled in the redelivery details on parcel force site with our address as normally laid out all was good.
Have ‘tweaked’ details with r2 to see if that helps in the future!

Anyone reading this use Phonak hearing aids?
Have got a slight issue that would like advice with cheers.

    Bit of an update.

Now placed 2 orders with r2bike.
All good, both orders under £€135 whichever the limit is.
No Vat paid, only slight issue was both times Parcel Force had to redeliver due to the address being a bit mixed up due to how you register details with r2bike.

I ended up buying the birzman one from r2bike in the end as it was showing it had a bevelled edge in the picture.
    Guess what, it’s not 🙄🙈
Not tried it yet on the e7000 so will update when I have.

Other half went to Boots. Hearing was pretty bad tbh.
There was a choice of budgets and in the end went for the top one as there was 15% off – genuine discount.
They set them to start at 60% initially then gradually increase to 100% over a few weeks I think it is.
Got the yearly review soon, hearing test & adjust accordingly.
Pretty happy with the service so far. Not cheap but life changing for her.

Ground floor is rising damp on party wall in old house so no dpc I’m guessing, ceilings are old leaks that have been sorted, some time ago as it goes and yet to see a paintbrush/roller 🙈
