Thanks will have a look at those.

Another reason for getting one is the oven cleaning.  The double oven is a pain to clean and if that can be made much easier with cleaning an airfryer instead then why not.

OP which stilt things did you go for, assume there’s more choice now than when I looked years ago?

The recommended depth is now 300-450mm. The more the better, it really does make a difference, at quite a small cost.

Good to know, I did wonder if the regs had changed, last looked at ours a few years ago.

Lanzoprazole for me. See if you can get a test for H Pylori too – that might be it.

Not heard of that, what is it?

    Lanzoprazole has been prescribed.

Strange no-one else has been told about raising the bed…

Woolly Hat Shop, that’s a blast from the past! Didn’t know about the name change but it makes sense.
Think I’ve still got some 8spd stuff from them still in the wrappers….

I bought an Aldi’s one a couple of years ago with a spare 40v battery. Was around £150 I think?
First one out of box didn’t work but a phone call later and a new one was sent to me and that’s been fine.
    Adjustable height cut too.
Neighbours paid £500 for the Gtech ones but I’m happy with mine! 3 year warranty as well.

Didn’t see that old chap, not been on here properly for a while. Just seen the email they sent today just now so thought they might be of use to someone.

Not easy OP, good luck with it all.
Can only speak from the POA side of things in that hopefully it all goes through ok for you.
We had to go through The Court Of Protection for one member of family, roll on 2+ years and £4.5k later it was near the point of being completed when they unfortunately passed on.
This example spurred others we know to get POA done for themselves!

Sorry it’s a bit late but thanks for the above advice.
The planned trip has been postponed for a couple of months so will have a look at the suggestions when I get a chance.

Sorry to hear about this OP.

Unfortunately a family member was conned out of a few thousand over a 2-3 year period, unfortunately too late for us to do anything about it. But it was/is gut wrenching that these scum prey on the vunerable like that and probably pass on their details to other scum. Makes my blood boil.

Hope you get it sorted OP.

Will hire a car in Dublin in a couple of months.
4 days rental in 2019 was around £60 and now its £140ish 😳😳😳
Hotel costs are around 50% more as well……

For now I got one a Stihl chain on Ebay for nigh on £18, reckon it was 4/5 years ago when I bought mine for £13?
    Nice little price increase there.
    Anymore recommendations?

if its taken 7-8 years to use a quarter of the tub – I’d probably decant it into something else to cover the next few decades 🙂

    Still sealed old chap. :-)

Well some got used yesterday and the saw didn’t blow up… :-)
Need some new chains now, will start another thread on that.

    All change!
Lidls had their charger back in stock for £15 so bought one last week.
    Sent the 804 back.
Battery was too flat to charge with that one so I’ve now ordered a CTEK MXS 5.0 as well lol. :-)

The TFSI’s thermostats are common problems, was on my golf too. Not sure if the TSI’s are better? You should be able to get a 2nd undertray for cheap I’d have thought but I’d budget to get thermostat replaced.

Take pads out and have a close look a the pistons, if no sign of fluid. Bleed them and don’t forget to rotate the lever back and forward and adjust the reach screw. Can’t believe how many more bubbles came out.
Then zip tie lever to the bar overnight and see if the bitepoint is the same.
I was given these tips on here.
Ended up buying a new caliper in the end as one of the seals was leaking but it was good practice going through the bleed process as it’s the first time I’d bled my brakes.

Went for the Ring 804 in the end.
Looks very similar functions on my old charger.
