A bit OTT I think, some valid points but a bit of common sense needed as others have said.

Yep, as it was my first proper ride for nearly 2 years and I'm very very unfit, the thought of riding up and down the same hill a few times or to ride with the brakes dragging to bed them in tired me out.
So I just rode and took it easy to start with :-)

Just got back from my 1st ride with them fitted, they feel much better now with more stopping power after a 2 hour ride although I've got to reset the rear caliper as it's starting to catch the disc on one side.

    Thanks for advise

Sounds like it would have been a good day out…even better without the mud baths. Guess it would have been better with more single track though.

Yeah I’m a bit confused as to what rim tapes etc you need to fit to run them with tubes and could I do the bmx innertube thing for tubeless?

Good news re the tyre size thanks cynic-al

    What bike is it?
My Scott genius uses an E type front mech, due the frame design you cant clamp a conventional mech on the seat tube.
You have to remove chainset and bottom bracket first.

Agree about the packing but put my order in on Friday and it all arrived yesterday. Having said that, have missed out on some parts in previous sales they’ve had.

    Win some lose some……?

theflatboy, out of interest how long did it take for your order from on-one to arrive?

Thanks, I’m interested in trying some with the 20mm axle and prefer the 40s because of the travel adjustment.
Anyone know what the axle to crown height is on the fighters?

I’ve got the xc version and they do reduce vibration etc compared to my alloy bars.

    Cheers for the feedback.

It sounds like an adjustable travel fork would be best then.

Toss up between my 1st proper off road ride for over a year which will lead hopefully to another trip to Afan a few months later.
