    Thanks folks.

I’ll try some of those, just to say again that I will need decent outbuildings cover. Some companies have a lowish limit.

Just had a look on boxt, ‘from £1800’ ended up being £2600- £3k.

Have no idea on how that compares with other companies yet.

Are they a good trustworthy setup?

Used to be with M&S years ago before they got difficult with outbuildings cover. Their underwriters then must have been another conpany.

I’m with Aviva now so will also try M&S on renewal as well.

    Cheers.

More for ww2 history. I’ve been told the walking tours (2 or 4 hrs) are very good?

Hope you manage to sort something OP.

In normal oven it would take 1hr 45 @190 putting potatoes in straight away.

Wanted to save time & maybe pennies on the leccy?

Cooked a roast chicken, pigs in blankets, roast tatties/parsnips/carrots, stuffing balls in air fryer. Turned out really well and took around 1.15 all in so around half the time.

Cheers for tips on baked pots. 👍

@ Biking, some of our pre hearing aid conversations were hilarious where she obviously didn’t hear what I said properly and took a punt on her answers. Reminded me of a Two Ronnies sketch.

Re the actual hearing aids, they are the all singing all dancing top of the range ones with all the features. So they told us.

Some good ones there peeps 😂

Lidls DW salt is used as well forgot to say.

Posh glasses, chefs knives & non stick pans get washed by hand.

Life’s too short to hand   wash the loads of cheapo tumblers.

Will try and adjust wash settings as wash on eco 99% of the time and try the lowest setting of rinse aid as a start.

DW cleaner used every 3 months.

    Bit of an update.

The wooden blocks didn’t last long, bed back on terra firmer lol. A v pillow and normal pillows kind of being used to get a bit more angle but nowhere near steep enough I’m guessing.

Prescribed Lanzoprazole but stopped taking that due to gut ache and squits. Now trying 20mg Omeprazole, with evening meal. Early days but seems ok so far.

The hardest part is trying to do the 4 – 5 meals a day and fitting in with family feeding…… need to cut down the bread I do know!

So, thinking again about which one lol.

I’d like to be able to do a roast chicken/joint of meat with roast tatties at the same time.

So looking for a suitably sized fryer –

One large drawer with removable divider?

One with a large & small drawer?

One of those with the rotisary, can you do roasties at the same time in tray at the bottom?

    Cheers

Are you in a hard water area? If so look for a stainless steel heat exchanger.

@single, excuse my ignorance, but stainless steel is better for what reason, less scaling?

Which makes have stainless steel heat exchangers these days?

Wish deals like that are available on non fibre optic.

Paying £24 a month for 70mb with Talk Talk. Can’t get fibre optic here yet.

For those with Nationwide/AA cover, is it a basic version?

Will they relay you home if a long way off or to a local garage?

    jca, you’re a one eh :-)

Thanks guys, I’ll have a look, I don’t think the Ebay route is one she’d like to do. Probably more of a rehoming with a donation but I’ll pass on all the info to her.

There’s a couple of big bugers, 3′ long I’ve noticed!

    Kent area.
