nearly always use full travel on my bikes, ht, normal bike and DH bike, no point in having it if you are not going to use it.
Although the clunk from the forks on my dh at full compression is quite interesting

if you flicked over to bbc, his feed was slightly ahead of the 'live' feed. Might be just to do with distances and transmission but who knows

I use K18s for DH on my miniDh.
Did the mega on them and I reckon that would kill any lesser brakes

is it better camping at the other centre at afan?

I did mine a week last thursday, took 24hrs a near total rest as I could manage, and as many ice packs as possible and went out for a gentle ride on the saturday.
My mate (who handily happens to be an A&E nurse) told me to rest for a day then do as much as I can on it (within reason obviously).
It still feels a little odd and the bruising still hasn't gone, but I am out on the road bike and will be riding some fun stuff all weekend.
I am hopefully getting a very good ankle support that will stop me going over on it before I get the full strength back.
Will see but sod it I am not spending my life sat around moaning about a painful ankle.
Another tip Ibuprofen – will get the swelling down a bit more and works well with the ice packs

Not to the point of selling a mountain bike no, am just starting to get into the dark side though, so its a nice excuse to get hold of a new road bike aswell.
    Such a shame

woburn i think is much cheaper too. much more xc and to be honest the dh stuff is more fun too.
Only reason I go to chicksands is because its half an hour closer after work

I thought all the XC had gone, well the waymarked stuff anyway, its easy to find your way around.
Still its going to be a little hard to police surely, the bike park is small enough to be able to cover, but the entire wood?

yes, I hve got a pair.
    Pros –
Seemingly indestructible, amazing battery life well over what they state.
2 lights so one on helmet one on bars. Customer service is great.

Cons- Not as bright as newer lights, never had any issue being able to see when using mine though.

Of course it's protein – throw away the "sides" of beans, coleslaw etc.

Peel off the crispy, fat laden coating

Pull the thin slivers of off-white flesh away from the central bone

Realise how much it reminds you of slivers of rat meat

    Vomit

    Loving your work

Wouldn't worry about them being available from oz, the general thing is that if you can kill a light then they want it back to see what the hell you did.
    Ayups are great lights

Sure, they could do what our PE teacher used to do & personally check that no one was wearing Jockey's under their shorts

    Whiteside – if you're still alive, you're a peado

What is it about PE teachers of the old type, they all seemed to be like that.

Had veyr good dealings with them too.
Ordered some POC body armour, recieved the order and found a multi tool in it.
Called them up (honest I am) and they said because they couldn't offer any discount its a free gift.
    Bloody nice people

I have built all of mmy mountain bike wheels and a set for a mate.
Given the option I will build all of mine in future too, Its a great feeling knowing you can build them and that you are riding your own wheels too

Am looking at either the cayo or the boardman road pro (the £999 one).
Not sure between them but the spec seems better on the boardman so will see if work will let me have it.

    DB Alpine – Cool
Intense 951 – Not sure I want it to be cool, but probably uncool as its very obvious ostentatious

exactly what I would have done.
I over filled a road tube and tyre once, made 130psi and the bang made me go deaf for 10 minutes.
Great fun and will no doubt do it again

disc brakes and QR levers at 50mph? thats going to seriously hurt

Rather than a scythe i would suggest a hedging hook, the thickness of the bracken will stop even the sharpest scythe, however the hedging hook is long enough and you can get a good swing on it

I love most music, and that was great.
ok for m some of the bits sounded slightly off but that was more likely my TV than the music.
It was amazing to see how it was done
Just want to wait and see what he does next, another piece classically hopefully

The only close one I have had was a group of morons walking their bikes up one of the main lines on the cwmcarn DH. Needless to say my feelings were eventually made plain with a large number of 4 letter words.
I was informed at the next run that if I could have identified them they would have recieved a life ban on the uplift.
Complete morons and damn luckyI was just….. able to stop

The biggest problem is that of variation, they use fairly interbred mice and animals to minimise the natural variation of the animals in a test.
How likely do you think it is that a prison population is going to have a pretty uniform genetic makeup?

I want either an empire AP1 with a very high spec on it. Or a commencal DH team or a Lapierre DH920.
Wish I could afford one of those

You should be fine on the meta, thats my plan for 2011 anyway.
Can't do it next year, work will be a bit funny with me taking a week off 4 weeks before I am off for 3 months, so the mega and mountain of hell double for 2011

never pre-ridden any of mine, so far a meta, mini dh and a PA, all total gems so not got any reason to change yet

I changed mine to soft springs, being about 11 and a half stone. No air preload needed personally, the dive is fine and the forks are awesome
