I have got cracked shock welds on my meta. Not exactly happy about it to be honest. It is an 06 frame though and has been well abused. But still gutting. Probably won't get another meta unless i can get the carbon one.

If you are slow and buy your way there you are toast. They will get done on the first few corners easy if they are crap

Has anyone considered thin neoprene socks? Ok your feet would get wet but the water would warm up quick

I put some mud tyres on for the first time in 3 years at the weekend. Normally run an intense edge on the front and a rampage on the back. Theya re great and deal with most things.
The trailrakers were unreal in the mud of sherwood pines though at the weekend. **** draggy though

In the jump site on the map, the top of the gorse run.
Just don't go down the gorse run at the moment unless you have a full set of armour plating. We tried a week or so ago and got ripped to pieces

Saw some new stuff in the play area towards the bottom of the mini dh runs. Looked like some monster jumps. Will go back and explore properly soon

No idea what I hit mine on, but took a massive slice out of my E13 at the mega this year. Needed to take a saw to it to smooth the thing down

Aston hill was a little entertaining today. The slipperiest I have ever seen it. Amazing fun though.
Not being able to stand up due to slipping over after crashing on DH4 was a highlight

How is it a tough call?
Someone has been working on something for years (Mint Sauce) and is offering something original for sale has asked that copies of something he didn't want in the first place are not made.
And in total fairness to the OP he has agreed and probably wants one of JoB's new offerings.

I have one rule on the bike, If I can wlak faster than I can pedal then I get off and walk (many years of walking in the mountains has made it easier for me).
Also have got to say I am normally far more knackered after a full day of DH at cwmcarn than I am doing a 30 odd K route in the peak or elsewhere.
Its total body fatigue not primarily the legs is the main difference.
    Still love doing both however

I got a seagate 1TB External off of maplins for about that a few weeks ago.
Took a little while to copy all the crap across but seemed good enough.
No idea how strong it is.
Only other option is stock up on high volume memory cards, but that will cost a bomb

Can't make comments about chatteris when my mum is around. She is from there.
I get lots of abuse when i take the piss.
I did once make comments about webbed feet to a mate of mine from whittlesey, unfortunately it turned out he did have webbed feet, still talks to me so clearly the genetics doesn't affect the sense of humour

Ok just looked at the website they do slim and normal fit now so ignore the bit about the sizing

    grahamt1980

    Got 2 pairs.
First ones were on the deal and are going very well, got them on now.
The second pair are better, they are a bit tighter though so unless you have really skinny legs make sure you get the next waist size up than normal (unless they have got a new shipment in).
Love mine. The full waterproofing doesn't last as long as you would like, but the jeans don't wet out anywhere near as fast as normal jeans either.

The game with straight roads then a 90° corner isn't limited to grunty fen, its all over the place. I live ramsey/chatteris way and some of the old ones are a bit odd, gets really scary out towards doddington and genwick way.
Like someone else said why the hell did I end up a mountain biker / climber / mountaineer living in the flattest part of the country.

Be careful of wisbeck its pikey country
