I’m bemused by the way the BNP always try to link themselves in some way with WW2 veterans and leaders who spent the war fighting fascists.

Like the classic send all the foreigners home thing with a Spitfire from a Polish squadron 😆

But if Yorkshire gets independence, would the capital be Sheffield or L**ds? There could be civil war…

Would it not be York, the county town?

Many years ago, got woken up by the fire alarm in the early hours of the morning. Quick check, no fire, reset the alarm and head back to bed. Alarm goes off again, check again, reset alarm. After the fourth reset phone the fire brigade. They turn up and start to check all the flats in the block.

Turns out the guy in the top flat had come home from the pub/club after a heavy session, put some bread under the grill and then fallen asleep. A rather charred oven/grill was deposited on the front lawn.

Clear blue skies in Gloucestershire, not a con-trail in the sky.

it's the banning of the selling of things in imperial units

    err no it isn't.
All a trader has to do is say it's X per lb, Y per kg.
It' just these metic martyrs refuse to display the
metric equivilent that makes them fall foul of the law.

p.s. you can even buy a lb of something on the contient.

Reminds me of the old 486DX and 486SX.
The 486 chip (for those to young to remember) was the 386 chip with the 386 maths co-processor built in, the 486SX (or may have been the other way round) had the maths co-processor part disabled, so essentially it was a 386 chip, for which you paid 486 price.

and only pushed on one climb (and for those who did the 100k, I reckon everyone will have pushed on that one)

Would that be the short sharp climb just the other side of Hazleton?

The feed station is aprox. half way round on both routes.
2lt blader should be ok, take a bottle as spare, it may get
    a tad warm tomorrow.

She will not get shouted at by marshals for going the wrong way.
There is no indication to tell what route the rides will be following,
    from their numbers or anything.
If she is caught by the back markers then a short cut will be
    suggested.

My suggestion would be te first half of the long route, and the second
half of the short route. Reason being that we have had to make a couple
of detours on the first part of the long route, so its a bit less than 50km.

Just do the first part of one route, and then the second part of the other.
