did Cheltenham to Birmingham for 3 years 52 miles each way, well over an hour in ruch hour traffic. Certainly knocks a big chunk of time out
    of your day.

What these marketing bankers have yet to work out.
You turn on the tap with the germ/bacteria covered hands, wash hands with their anti-bacterial soap from the no touch dispenser. You then turn off the tap picking up all those germs/bacteria you deposited when you turned the tap on..

The way the press treated Alison after her death was dreadful. She was a young woman and she climbed it un aided by sherpas or guides and without oxygen. Yet the press vilified her.

Because she was the mother of two young children, so in the eyes of
the press she should have been had home looking after them.
And the little know fact that she soloed the north face of the eiger
    while six months pregnant.

When my Nieces did their cycle proficiency (or what ever it was called) my dad set their bikes up for them accordingly.
Yup exactly the same list of what was wrong with the bikes,
so some numpty knows more about setting up a bike than some
    with 50+ years experience.

First time I rode at Afan, was on a fully ridged.
Just as much fun as on a full sus or hardtail.

    Did the C2C last year.
Walna Scar road rideable, but forget going
over Harter Fell, it was a swamp, knee deep in
places and the bikes had to be carried
    all the way.

A whole 2 weeks in the Lake District and it just drizzled for
half an hour. 😯 The rest of the time it was hot and sunny.
What a ace trip that was.

Taking on such a dangerous pastime

    Cycling isn't dangerous.
Base jumping dangerous, free diving is dangerous, solo rock climbing
is dangerous, sticking you tong in the electric socket is dangerous.
