Had a ride there today, as already said, the trails all around Old Pale are a no go now, you can’t get anywhere close due to wire fencing.

Also, they break ground on the new Log Cabin area next month and apparently this will be a three year project before everything is fully open again around there.

The old Greenhouses opposite the visitor centre closed down today ready for work to start on relocation of the new Centre.

That full build up there ^^^^ was less than £700 which I thought a bargain, not had a look at the V2 prices though. 🤷🏼‍♂️

I’ve got o e of the last Version 1 builds, very pleased with it. Probably the most comfortable bike of this type that I’ve had for gravel/light trail duties , very comfortable on normal roads as well no doubt helped by the 47mm WTB Byways. Although they were a complete and utter ball ache to get off the rims to go tubeless, but well worth the effort.

Like Brant says, I had exactly the same thing last week.

take the QR/axle out, lay the wheel flat on the floor, stand on the tyre with your feet at about 10 to 2 position,  ( like a duck as it was explained to me by the very helpful Neil at Sonder! ) grab hold of the far side of the rim and pull the wheel up towards you.

It does work but is still harder than any other tyre/rim combo I’ve ever done!

    Good luck 👍🏻

Had a 456 Summer Season, brilliant bike now passed on to someone far more capable, and currently own a Fatty Trail which has probably been ridden more than any of my other bikes in the last year or so.

What’s happened to the pictures/information that was around a couple of weeks ago about the new On One Fat Frank? Tried unsuccessfully to find it again yesterday, possibly leaked out before it should have been?

A quick spin around Delamere, some dry, dusty trails, but some places seem to be getting wetter/swampier.

some of the wettest places also seem to have the smell of cow pats to them as well. 💩

Just tried one of these despite the comment up there^^^, quite nice , no “off” taste.
Same price as the Erdinger one. I find it preferable to the Nanny State, but, each to their own!
    YMMV :P

Has anyone ridden/got wheels with Alex Blizzerk 90 rims?
Merlin are doing wheelsets for £415 built on Surly hubs, really easy to go tubeless apparently.

Did the Marin Trail today, sort of!
From the Trailhead to the bench leading to the first descent there are 19 trees across the trail!
Some are easy enough to get over some are not. It took us 30 minutes longer than normal to get to that bench.
Also, there is lots of small branches and twigs on the trail flicking into rear mechs.
It was a lovely day to be out though.
