Not dangerous as such, but when the log roll part is wet and slippy you can end up looking like a Creature from The Bog of Eternal Stench, and have to drive home with all the car windows open because your mate moans about the smell

How about a nod of deference to the Pioneers of our Bridleway network, and have a Equine theme for next week?

Martyn, thanks very much for the pointer. I’ve done the one at 7 o’clock, looks like I need to do your option and head for the old gate posts.

The last time I was by the Bus stop, the first part of that looked like it had been smoothed out as well?

    GRAEMEJONES

Ah well,Thanks for the quick answer, wasn’t too sure which way to tackle it, if it’s an easy climb now, does that make it a fast(er)downhill?
I thought there was nothing wrong with it beforehand, far more interesting than just blasting down a smoothed out track. :(

It might just be my addled taste buds , but the canned Hobgoblin seems to be a bit more malty/chocolatey than the bottled. The head seems to be a bit tighter though . I did use a clean , dry glass for this comparison ( off to get another from the cooler )

Great minds think alike ! The cans were just to see how much difference there is to a bottle. Give me an hour and I’ll report back. It’s a dirty job but somebody has to do it in the name of market research .

I’ve had the Advantage front and rear on my ST4 for 12 months now, done stuff in the Lake District, 7 Staines and a lot of The Peaks, when they wear out they will be replaced with the same again, CNF.

Due to me having to be on night-shift for the week of this full moon, this is as good as its going to get! Please forgive the battered commuter/work bike, but anything decent just gets knocked about in the “secure” bike racks.
And that is a full Moon showing between the flag poles, honest…

I’ve just nipped out to take a photo of the bike with a full Moon in the background for this weeks photo challenge. I didn’t realise how cold it is, certainly wakes you up enough to stop you nodding. Will be home in 3 hours though !

The 25-metre diameter radio telescope at Darnhall, Cheshire. It is one of the radio telescopes in north- west England which form the MERLIN network operated by the radio observatory at Jodrell Bank, near Manchester. MERLIN is a very long baseline interferometry (VLBI) network which in effect forms a telescope with a diameter of 127 km, giving high resolution astronomical radio images. Since 1987, MERLIN has combined with radio telescopes at Cambridge and in mainland Europe to form the European VLBI Network (EVN), which in effect forms a continent-sized telescope.

Not much chance of a clear shot of the Moon until later in the week, cloudy skies forcast at night until Wednesday/Thursday.

Just got home from Gisburn Forest, I’ve done the level 2 course with Ed O , a great tutor and very, very patient.
A well organised day, with good food at the Dog and Partridge, and the Pheasant Plucker is a really good beer.
    All in , highly recommended.
