The Food processing industry and sugar levels must also bear part of the blame, although my dear old dad used to have a saying when anyone discussed being overweight “Nobody ever came out of Belsen fat” he’d say. To a certain extent he’s right, how can the immobile obese ones maintain body weight without someone feeding them?
Whan can the Government do? Get stricter with the food industry, charge overweight folk extra for essential services and the airline industry could start charging everyone who flies by their total weight including baggage thereby not penalising those of us who work hard to maintain their weight at acceptable levels in spite of the temptations of beer, chocolate and white death rolls..
graemecslFree MemberDublin can deliver, all you need is a dwarf, some handcuffs, a full body Lycra suit and some viagra, then you go to this show where your groom gets dragged onto the stage with a full boner in the lycra handcuffed to the dwarf, it is allegedly quite hilarious.
graemecslFree MemberHa, we had a choice of a fascist, racist, liar and green embryo, the Mrs voted Fascist as usual and I cancelled her out voting embryo wasting my vote as usual, I do wish the Greens would get their act together.
graemecslFree MemberNever send anything Royal mail unless it’s signed for and even then it’s unreliable, we’ve lost a couple this year shipping to the states is particularly unreliable. Wherever possible if the value and postage warrants we tend to use UPS who have been very good.
Even receiving stuff inbound from the German carrier GLS, they partner with Parcel Force who are a complete joke operation (and who Royal Mail default to over 2kgs) at least three times this year we’ve had to collect from the depot and one time their excuse was they couldn’t get past the local school due to traffic hold ups by parent collecting kids so the van had to turn back, seriously that was their reason.
graemecslFree MemberShe’s sharper than that, time of the month can be the only explanation, it happens, even to men.

I’ve been running a battery for 18 months, not a particularly good brand, when I installed it the Tesla wasn’t available, but something I reasoned was better than nothing.
The Tesla however cannot be charged by many inverters, it needs a particular type, the Solar Edge I believe it’s called, lots of installations are wired in series and the solar edge has a means to sort of wire the panels in parallel, I believe.
graemecslFree MemberYes since I was a young kid in the Cubs & Scouts and I learned how to spot north from the stars and make a makeshift compass by magnetising a pin and floating it in a rock pool and moss on the north side of trees and by using a watch aligning it with the sun, I wonder if they even teach this stuff in the Scouts these days, I know they don’t get to have sheath knives, and hand axes on their belts,do they get to fight with staves, or play british bulldog I wonder.
Do they teach kids anything useful even, it doesn’t surprise me none of your office colleagues can read a map, or follow a compass bearing.graemecslFree MemberHmm maybe I’d better learn to use more of the apps, love that watch strap Rachel where did that come from?
graemecslFree MemberCan’t comment on the series 2, but have used the original for a year now and would comment as follows, would I buy one? No, it was a gift and like the iphone as the original job it’s supposed to do, i.e. tell the time it’s barely functional, if you travel you need a charger, it barely lasts 24 hours and less if you forget to switch off something like Strava which I haven’t used in fact went to have a look for it as a result of your post. I guess as a start stop feature it presents a big orange button on your wrist instead of having to dig your phone out.
It does enable you to text and answer your phone if you’ve misplaced it yet are in bluetooth or wifi range and I did discover a new scribble feature the other night which enabled me to answer a text from the pub whilst my iphone was at home, I guess it must use the pubs wifi to connect.
But life without it? Would continue barely interupted, not something I’d miss, unlike the phone, life without that could be tedious.
Oh and I’ve showered, swum, sailed, kite and windsurfed using it, so the alleged improvement of the water resistant 2 series certainly isn’t worth upgrading to.

paedos – still the issue that someone could be found guilty and then later be exhonoratedIronically came home tonight and she’s watching a programme about Ian Huntley and the Soham girls, it’s on now, I have got to say he’s a candidate for the gas chamber if ever there were.
Edit, he’s even tried to commit suicide, why not let him? But no, I dare say we’ll finance his gender re assignment request and transference to a womens prison such is the way of the PC world these days..
graemecslFree MemberYou’ve got to love the hypocrisy of a species that at one level rings it’s hands at putting to death a murderer but on the other engages in the industry of dealing death to thousands of innocents via an arms industry and or supports a government that pursues policies of invasion and mass slaughter for energy needs.
If we don’t kill our own, then we shouldn’t kill others, period.
If on the other hand we have absolutely evil murderers caught in the act then where is the logic of permitting their continued existence (like the case of the recent French gunman released to kill again).
But that still doesn’t license us to put millions of innocents to death just because they live in an area we need to dig up for oil or put a pipeline through. KIll by all means to keep us domestically safe, provided it is beyond any reasonable doubt, but killing remotely is wrong.
graemecslFree MemberHey chap, you don’t know me, butI’ve been aware of you as a regular poster here on my on and off visits over the past few years and always felt you were one of the stand up guys here. So I’m gutted to hear you’ve been dealt a duff hand by life and probably love, they do have a habit of destroying you in an attempt to blame someone else for their own failings, but enough of that If you fancy a mini adventure and maybe help someone at the same time, have a wander down to Herts and see the Jedi for a session. There’s a young guy down there Sam, who was trying to break into photography last I was there and maybe some advice from you could help. Sometimes helping others can lift your spirits and it can make you feel better about yourself. Meeting and talking to Tony (the ‘Jedi’ dude) and listen to his tales of how he gets so much from helping others to ride better and you never know, your own riding might also benefit however good you already are, I can definitely recommend it, I went there one time during a period when my world was collapsing and it was the best thing I’d ever done, better than buying a new bike and it gave me the feeling that life wasn’t over for me after all (I was feeling old, shit, worthless and my future at the time was definitely the bleakest it had ever been). Give it a try.

since he’d recently failed his not biting the passing school kids test
but it was the sheep thing that made you get rid?It was the accumulation, three sheep killed, an ‘incident’ with an alleged bite of a passing kid, which we suspect was more fear of his barking and maybe a nip, the police could provide no evidence of a bite and trust me if he had bitten the kid seriously would know about it, but dangerous dogs are dangerous dogs in the eyes of the law. The move away we thought would give him a reprieve but when a few weeks later more sheep turned up quite literally on the doorstep, SWMBO who was already in the frame with a ‘caution’ could stand frayed nerves no longer and personally had I had a gun at the last sheep incident I would have shot him on the spot. It’s difficult, a tough choice but as I said he was wired wrong the place we got him from was more a rescue than a purchase, single bloke, small yard full of puppies and as I said it was thirteen weeks(according to him), you really need to train puppies from 8 weeks especially something as powerful as a Doberman, our previous dog was a much loved Rottweiler and this thing was a pale imitation of a dutiful family protector and we’ve owned and bred German Shepherds, the point here is responsibility to live stock and farmers. The vet only did what was necessary after many attempts at rehoming.
graemecslFree MemberHad to put one of mine down because he went for sheep, not much use as a trail dog if they won’t come to heel when you come across livestock, he just wasn’t wired right. I got away with it for a few years by using a lead but we moved house and the field right opposite suddenly became populated by sheep shortly after we moved in and he went mad, constantly trying to get them it would only have been a matter of time and since he’d recently failed his not biting the passing school kids test he had to go, sometimes you just can’t train them, we didn’t get him until 13 weeks, a Doberman, they make short work of Shawn.

Thanks everyone!Everybody mentions “bad habits”- but what are they?
Basically driving a bike as if you were still driving a car.
Making assumptions car drivers ‘see’ you, they don’t, you don’t appear on their peripheral vision.
Driving faster than your stopping distance.
Underestimating your stopping distance
Underestimating your own capability to stop without coming off within an average stopping distance (Ever practised a full on emergency stop at 40?) Imagine what it’s like at 60, 70 or greater.I could crack on, my advice to everyone is to accept you will come off sooner or later and it will likely be because a car or truck driver causes it, so be well dressed, well vizzed, and well helmeted, Over the 50 years I’ve ridden bikes I’ve had half a dozen or so nastys and only one was down to anything other than car driver issues and that was gearbox/failure locking up the clutch.
I’m just about to buy my nth bike hoping for a Triumph Scrambler which may deal with the pot holes round these parts better than most, because if cars don’t get you, often shitty third world road conditions will.
graemecslFree MemberI see it as serving two purposes, it’ll give her the mandate she needs to sort out the Tory tossers and the rest of the Westminster politico’s playing at politics for it’s own sake and getting in the way drawing out this awful period of instability.
It should also serves to sort the Labour Party out Corbyn bless him and as much as I like the guy, his integrity etc he is about as useless as the tree huggers in the Green Party that should be all over this opportunity but won’t because they are idiots.
Sadly this country needs to be run by a right of centre organisation it was only when Bliar sold the New Labour dream that they were elected and if you don’t recognise the need to be in power to get things done the whole effort is pointless.
I don’t think it’s going to be quite the shoe in she’s been told, certainly it should end UKIP but I fear the return of the wishy washys probably at the hands of the nations youf that bother to get up and into the polling booth if they have forgiven the act’s of the Godless philandering one.
I watched Newsnight last night as they struggle to overcome the trauma of an actual piece of shock news they were not expecting, had to turn it off I’m bored with it already frankly I’m electioned out.
graemecslFree MemberNo, compared to the 20th century so far the 21st has been less violent, no millions being squandered by Royal Familys feuding for a start.
graemecslFree MemberWhere are the Green Party? Now would be a time to form a coalition with the Lib dems and lead the charge based on all the green issues that leaving Europe are going to cause.
graemecslFree MemberI do it, I’m on the hook to one probable scam operator that are refusing to pay out on my 10 grand gains and I’m up three grand on another algorithmic see saw that is at least regulated by the Australian Exchange commission. They have at least paid out.
But it is a dodgy quagmire of largely unregulated operators, the idea is to get your original investment out asap and trade the profits.
graemecslFree MemberGot to say thanks for this tip, it went down exactly as described and earned me brownie points, – ta.

It’s difficult to ignore the fact that it was in all probability a false flag operation, organised by rebels or Mossad and designed to trick a less than competent narcissist into aiding the rebel effort and keep the pot boiling just as there were signs it was beginning to cool.
But surely thats the essentially the Russian line – whoever it was, it wasn’t Assad, as they are pro-Assad.So why on earth is Trump doing the opposite of what the Russians want? I thought he was supposed to be cosying up to them, what with him being a Russian agent and all that?
Why? Because it’s the opening gambit on the next deal, nothing about this has anything to do with what actually might have happened, it’s about what appears to have happened for the sake of strengthening Trumps hand, sooner or later he has got to sit the other side of a deal making table with Putin and of course he’s already in the room with the Chinese, who have also been playing out of school in the South China Sea and this serves the purpose of reminding them both of his hand, he remains at the control of the most powerful armed forces on earth and he’s now demonstrated with great theatrics he’s prepared to use it, so call his bluff if you dare.
Obama was too smart for his own good, it is a stupid stupid world full of ignorant fools bent on power, money, arms sales, profit and of course hubris, sadly all they understand is force, I despair.graemecslFree MemberIt’s difficult to ignore the fact that it was in all probability a false flag operation, organised by rebels or Mossad and designed to trick a less than competent narcissist into aiding the rebel effort and keep the pot boiling just as there were signs it was beginning to cool. Interesting reports of a renewed Isis ‘push’ now emanating from Russian media sources. Is there ever going to be an end to their suffering?
graemecslFree MemberI’ll never forget the first funeral I went to that they played a favourite tune, it was my younger sister and she’d lost her husband, very tragic, young kids involved, horrible, then this loud invasive pop tune, I’m not sure if it lifted the mood or just made things even more disturbing but it certainly left an impact.
So me, going out, my instructions are a wake and me propped up in the corner of the room in an open coffin watching everyone get pissed, if there are anyone left by then that even know me, the way they seem to be dropping away lately.
So the funeral music.. There can be only one choice.
graemecslFree MemberYou might consider these new fangled air source heat pumps, this month sees a government incentive to pay a la feed in tarif a sum every month to encourage folk to switch to them. It requires not only the new boiler air source thing, but a new cylinder with a larger bore heat exchanger. Allegedly from 2020 all new builds will be fitted with them as standard.
They gauge the amount of money to pay based on your buildings energy certificate so the calculation is fixed and unlike feed in tariff for solar doesn’t fluctuate with the weather so you can tie a loan to the likely repayments, it is worth a look if you’ve got to undergo the expense anyway.
graemecslFree Member+1 for Weather pro and their spin off ‘Rain Today’ which we were at a rainy barbecue once and it was accurate to the minute as to when the rain came and went. For sailing I tend to XC weather mainly because I live within a triangle of airports, it was primarily an app for airplane enthusiasts.
graemecslFree MemberStrikes me if we legalised drugs we could probably fund the entire NHS on the profits and logic says the two should be connected.
