I did this last week starting from High Cross, Grizedale. But from where you are, you could start from the bottom of nibthwaite with a long road climb!

Anyone know a good Ulverston route? That maybe nearer for you.

I was there on Friday sessioning the downhill runs for the first time ever. Certainly not dry, few sketchy near front wash outs but was fun nonetheless. Do it!

]Parkamoor/Nibthwaite is my favourite descent in the UK.

That’s quite a claim. Do you mean this route:

I have been planning to ride this route for a while but was sick as a dog for the whole time I was in the lakes at Easter!

Sorry to hear about your loss.

It would help if you let us know where you are!

    90 kg bench is amazing!

40 kg front squat and 60 kg dead lift should not leave you drained for 24 hours, in my opinion, even at 3 x 8 reps. I have been doing Crossfit for a couple of years now, those weights were not huge when I started. I am not sure what advise to give though apart from keep at it, focus on form and enjoy it. I was always into cardio type exercises but I get far more out of an hour crossfit class than a long run, swim or ride.

The only thing that springs to mind is whether you warm up sufficiently? Your muscles need to be firing, especially for squats.

Do you really want them breaking into your home to get your shiny new replacements??

We still struggle to get a good nights sleep 4 months after they broke into our home while we were in bed!

    Hi,
I’ve just replaced one yesterday having broken a spoke at the beginning of oct. I couldn’t find a 4dd 9804 (rear 176mm) for rockin horse sh1t. I reckon I rang every bike shop in the country. In the end it is sorted thanks to my lbs, but I would recommend getting them while you can.

I’ve been riding an 8 speed for a couple of years on my commute bike. It’s low maintenance and with a 16t nexus cog, I no longer get overtaken. However, I do get the odd gear slip when out of the saddle and today I went arse over tit clipped in pulling out hard on a roundabout at rush hour!

Sorry to read about your ride fuzzhead.

I’d be interested to know which part of your shed failed first? However, I’d rather not discuss it openly because we shouldn’t create the idiots guide to breaking into sheds. Ultimately they timed out on mine thanks to my neighbours.,

The tinnier bike sheds around my area appear to have not been targeted.

By the way, Asgard have been great with providing space parts.

I had my door smashed in lastnight about a week after they had a go at my Asgard. I did wake up and they knew I was in the hallway but despite this – they carried on smashing! Luckily for me the house alarm was on which alerts the police so they scarpered. I’m not even sure what they are after since my bike is not really worth much being quite a few years old.
I got a look at them through my smashed door, there were 3 males – one of them wearing a light coloured hoodie. These people are prepared to take more risk given the aggregated nature of my incident and others.
