Really annoyed by this. Thought it was a joke at first.

I have an Orbea vibe. No reliability problems with the Ebikemotion at all. I just hold the middle button in for a short period of time to switch it on or off. Changing power settings is easy. I wasn’t aware the charging plug had arrows on it, I connect it using feel.

Pedalling over 26kph isn’t easy but is better if the assist is off or low.

I have one. It negotiated the twists and turns through the frame very well.

Bar end plugs the last time.

Buying CDs was similar. They would often cost £9.99 but free postage would start at a tenner.

I’ve got every issue but need to start clearing them out as I’ve Not really got space for them all.

54 mph down Maiden Law bank. Pre GPS days so probably not 100% accurate. But I did overtake a moving car.

I spend more time riding than doing the other stuff. Next on my to do list today is:
Go for a bike ride :)

Mabie is relatively short but you could always ride it twice or repeat one or two sections of you have the time.
Mabie House hotel is nice too.

In the area I live I reckon one of two people are responsible for 90% of the litter. I sometimes clear a section of grass verge. In one bag of 43 cans 38 of them were Bud light! It’s also concerning that there’s a reasonable chance they are dropped by a driver.

The Hope frame looks so good I’m not sure I would dare use it.

    No.

Had a drive out this morning. Had a coffee with my son. Bike ride this afternoon , bit wet and windy but manageable. Doing a bit browsing the web while enjoying a cuppa.

I dont have 400k in savings. But I left my job at 59. A good decision for me.

I got an Orbea Vibe EQ model. The EQ bit added full length mudguards, an extra front light, a rack and a kickstand. Probably weighs about 16kg and with careful use of the power I can do over 40 miles on a charge. It’s really good looking too.

I bought an e-bike from Surge Bikes. They couriered it to me and it was packed amazingly. I had a problem with the power switch. They obtained and posted the replacement part to me quickly but I did need to arrange fitment myself since I’m not local to them.

Last nights show went ahead at last. I really enjoyed it. Quite a unique gig.

I’m hoping to see her in Whitley Bay this week. It must be close to 3 years since I bought tickets!

Unfortunately  last nights Alanis Morrisette gig in Leeds was added to my lengthy list of cancellations. There were already people in the venue when the announcement was made.

Fingers crossed for Joan as policewoman tomorrow.

I never understood the apparent dislike of Santa Cruz bikes and, sometimes, their owners.
If you dont like the brand- don’t buy one.
If you like the brand but think they are too expensive- dont buy one.

We’re probably all here because we like bikes and riding them. Respect other peoples choices.

I was walking a small dog in the woods when I saw 4 lads on bikes about to come down the track towards me. It was maybe 5 to 6 feet wide. The riders started to go off to the bit of singletrack to the side of the one I was on. I bent down to bring the dog closer just as the 4th rider went right past at full tilt. Missed the dog by about a foot and my head by another foot!

I’ve never done a group ride. Doesn’t sound fun at all.

100 mile road ride from Druridge Bay to Silloth on a hardtail. But mixed surface rides much harder: 90+ miles from Penrith to Sunderland then home or the 90+ miles from Chester-le-Street to Kielder Castle. I think I also did 10 laps of a 9 mile course at the Bontrager 24/12 one year.

I prefer to measure MTB rides in time rather than distance.

Damn, that is somewhere I occasionally ride, I’d best watch out. I was recently in the woods near Houghall (which is close to there) when our little dog was almost flattened by a lad out of control on a bike.

In defense of Durham Police when I had my garage broken into they did recover some of the stolen items and made a successful prosecution.

Not a size thing but when my lad was young he was standing having a pee in the toilet and must have got a bit confused. The tiled floor had underfloor heating, it started to steam!

I have all issues of Singletrack but have been thinking they need to go. Mind you I do like to keep first issues of magazines. Just had a look and I also have issue 1 of MTB Pro, Mountain Bike World, Volksworld, Classic VWs and Ultra VWs. No prizes for guessing my interests.

I understand wholesale price rises of gas would increase the price of electricity but don’t understand why the increase is so high when I think less than half of the UKs electric is produced by gas.

Also, how does the price of gas put the daily standing charge up from 26p to 49p?

The current cap for electricity is roughly 21p per kwh and 25p a day standing charge. I still can’t find what the actual price cap will be changed to as all the figures give the increase for an average bill which hardly anyone pays (most will be over or under).

Why would the wholesale price of gas affect the daily standing charge?

I bought an ex-demo carbon bike a couple of years ago as something to ride when the trails are covered in mud. Turns out it’s my go to bike for local rides. It’s well capable of doing very rough stuff. I’ve also done some multi day tours on it too. Typically use 2.6″ tyres on 30mm rims but also have some narrower tyres for easier trails.

That’s a shame. I remember a few years ago they were considering cutting some trees down as they were losing the view of the Angel from the A1. It seemed to be a surprise that the trees grew.

I’d like to go to more but last months The Mysterines was cancelled on the day of the gig. Tonights Du Blonde has been cancelled. Next weeks Alanis Morrissette has been either postponed or cancelled (not sure which yet).
