The track from Deanich lodge is old tarmac just like the section from Kildermorie down to Glen Calvie lodge, again you will be fine with your tourer.

Hmm im running a new style Hope 30mm and to start with the post a 27.2 Raceface Evolve kept sliding down so instead of raxxing the clamp up tighter i used some Pace carbon grease that i have and voila it doesn't slip anymore with the clamp still at the original position/ clamping force. I now use the Pace carbon grease on all my alloy seatposts ;o)

According to Keith Bontrager Strong-Light-Cheap- Pick any two. And so far in my 20 years of mountain biking he has been right!

If 2010 rockshox are extortionate what does that make Dt swiss?

I've been on Giro helmets for 15 years now, but they don't make them like the used to. The quality and finish is much poorer now which has led me to consider a different make. So you reckon i won't be dissappointed if i bought a Kaos ul?

First time over at the End 2 End and i managed 3hrs 49min which placed me 85th overall and a pleasant surprise of 29th in the 30-39 age group.

Great course and organisation, well marshalled, plenty of food on offer and fantastic weather, what more can a mountain biker ask for in an event.

Thanks and well done to the Manx mtb crew.

Is anyone staying on the Sunday night? We are so we can have a few beers, getting the first ferry back to Heysham on the Monday morning.

How about a course conditions report after the Manx riders have finished their ride this Sunday(Although i have already decided that the trailrakers are going on!)

Don't know who is importing it yet but there must be someone doing so for it to end up here.

Can any of the St guys shed any light on an importer?

Hutchinson Toro Enduro 2.35. Sizes up the same as Maxxis 2.35s available in tubed or tubeless. Just put one on the rear of my Turner and im very impressed so far.

I recently got a Black guard from Dark cycles in BC. Does the job, looks good and delivered to the UK without duty in a week.

Two reasons i went for the classic, one it is cheaper and two it has better cable routing imo. You will get used to the bum tap after a few rides then you will never look back. I got the 1/3″ drop thinking along the same lines that you are and it is fantastic, what a difference it makes to your riding and descending 😉

    Aye Ek

Just feel as though i need something with a wee bit more grip than the crossmark. Ordered a 2.35 Toro to try it, so i will let you know how i get on with it and what Hutchinson sizing is like.
