It won't be my main source i have a Lumi LED3 to take care of that. Just thinking of it for supplimentary stuff. The idea of no wires is appealing to me for mounting it on my head.

I had exactly the samething happen on my crosslight fiveT, went in ok to start with and then was an absolute sh*t to come out, like you i have fitted loads of bb's over the years so was pretty confident it wasn't my fault. Took the frame back to the shop and the threads were chased and it is now fine no problems. Needless to say when i got my xc pro3 the first thing my mechanic did was chase the threads. If my memory serves me right Martin did say that the threads were a bit shitty on it. So im not getting at Kinesis but i suspect the bb threads are not the best from scratch. It probably is best practise to get it done as standard.

Well done to all those that took part, the weather certainly helped but it still doesn't make me want to do the winter puffer.

Stuartie did you get any decent pictures?

Paul well done, I don't think i could have gone from doing a trio to pair to solo with such short notice 😉

Thanks for the results AK 🙂

    Hi

I use a TT on the rear teamed up with a 2.1 Advantage on the front. Works well for me 😀

Magura tech guys fitted a foam ring and some oil to the air chamber, seems to have worked well.

Where do you get them serviced in the Uk?

I run a 2.0 Larsen TT Lust on the rear like you do and a 2.1 Advantage Lust up front. Very good front tyre indeed and a good combination.

The Athlon is really just an Atmos but with a peak.
No it's not, the Athlon is a Saros but with a peak. Fwiw i had an Athlon recently and couldn't get on with the fit of it, i have since bought an Atmos and it is miles better than the Athlon.

    Hi Terry

Myself and Ewan have been trying in the past week and all the off road in this area is still under a fair depth of snow. I was out on the road bike on tuesday and the roads are nice and dry which will probably make that your best bet for the coming weekend.

Would it do as an only bike?
Ok currently i have a Turner 5spot which is a fantastic ride and a Chromag Samurai which is also a fantastic ride in a different steel hardtail way.

So what im asking is would getting a Dean colonel be a good substitute/ compromise over both the Turner & Chromag or would i be as wel sticking with waht i've got? Does that make sense?

Having never really ridden a ti bike do they offer the magical ride that they are marketed to have?

have ridden other Ti frames that do have that elusive all day ride quality though.
    Norton, Which ones?
