Does anyone have a rough guide of what length wires are required for fitting Di2 on a CX bike running the bar end junction box Ew Rs910 and throwing a wireless EW Wu111 in there too.

    Cheers

Just an idea as I had a similar dilemma with my SwitchbackTi. How about a RockShox Reverb AXS?

That’s what I went with as Dan Stanton said they can’t get a hole drilled in the frame due to being unable to get a drill in position because of the seatstays. By the time you have taken into account the potential cost for the work to your frame IF it’s even possible the cost of the AXS is covered in my eyes.
Got mine from Bike-Discount in Germany and it’s absolutely amazing and you don’t even have to charge the battery that often either.

Possibly a bit cheeky but is anyone looking for a Mk2 Stooge?

I’m not using mine and I can’t justify it sitting in the shed doing nothing anymore. It’s in mint condition as it has only covered 104 miles since I built it up in January.

It was the last of the Radberry colour and is set up singlespeed at present.

I’ll be posting it up on the classifieds in the next few days if anyone is in the lookout.

I have pictures but I’m rubbish at putting them on here!!

Done. I think this is going to smash the target well before the date

    Like I said that’s what I’ve read.

The argument that it came from was that off road the tyres break away first due to the surface that the tyre is rolling over. On the road the tyre doesn’t break away as early leading to greater forces going through the disc.

    are Hope worth the cash?
Never had an issue with Shimanos and I ran old style XT, Saint and Slx for seven years. But I’ve just switched to Hope Tech3 E4 and they are incredible. Hard to explain but so smooth and powerful, much more control and less skidding that the shimanos gave. Expensive but altogether worth it in my eyes.
I’ve had Hopes in the past and they weren’t ever great and I resisted for so long due to horror stories etc but I’ve been pleasantly surprised.

Interesting. I was planning an Evoc but I have heard of them tearing. It’s a lot of money to spend for something that seems to rip quite easily and after a couple of flights.
Maybe I’ll just stick with my Neil Pryde bag that cost me £80 fifteen years ago and has been on the best part of forty flights and is still in great condition.

Dialled Prince Albert Classic since July 2012 and the Rockshox Pike that are on it are from 2007 and still going.
Come to think of it the SLX brakes are from 2009 and only ever had one bleed recently.

All good value for money and it’s not as if it doesn’t get used.

Looks like a lot of thought has been put into them and they are getting good reviews.
I’m about to order a set of Covert pads.

Maxxis tyres because nothing else gets close to being reliable.

Shimano HTII cranks because they are simple and work.

Shimano spd pedals because they are bomproof and keep going despite getting abused.

Hope hubs and Stans rims agreed.

Shimano Zee clutch mech for chain retention and chain slap silence.

No if my two are anything to go by.

Good spec and thought put in to them for small people and importantly lightweight.

The weight will only become apparent when another kid calls round and leaves their bike sprawled on the deck and you pick it up and lean it carefully against the wall for them.

I’ve got a RSX02 on the cross bike and it does what it’s supposed to do with little fuss. Not the lightest ever but reliable.
Zero100 on my road bike has been faultless too

    Stanton Switchback?

Or does it have to be aluminium?

    Hi Doug. How are things?

For people who ride like you ride they’re great. Yep you know me well

I’m totally undecided, I’ve got X-Fusion sweeps in the shed that I’ve never used but I’m not convinced they are capable of the ragging I’ll give them, whereas the Bos sound like they are at their best when being ridden hard.
Only other ones I’ve spotted might be Marzocchi 350cr which I’ve no idea what they are like either?

The bracket where it grips the light. I even had a thin rubber band around the light and bracket to try and give it a bit more security but it still fell off somehow.
    The silicone band is fine

I’m thinking if I get another one as I still have a charger and battery I’ll botch a tie wrap solution so it can’t fall off.

I wonder how far round the corner?

I was told 8 weeks on the 21st of May. Now simple maths tells me that’s now 15 weeks!

As I’ve already said above I’m looking at other things now.

Still waiting, still no sign of them being available.

Tempted by a small Kinesis Sync 650b instead, a lot more money than a Soul but it’s a lot of bike.

Yeah archetypes can be run tubeless afaik. Mine were taped by Strada and I’ve go the valves but never got round to going tubeless on them as I don’t think Challenge open tubs are made for tubeless.

    Morning

Probably of little help to you but I went for H Plus Son Archetype rims as an all round better alternative to the stans rims.
Roughly the same price iirc and they can deal with higher pressures than the stans which comes in handy if you fit road tyres at any point. Oh and good if you do the three peaks!
