It’s been common knowledge in Fort William for roughly six months. I think competitors had complained that the course is too long.

There was also a change of dates this year which didnt help as organisers managed to pick a date that clashed with the Scottish Six day Trials, already the busiest week of the year in Fort William

This  was not a factor in the decision but didnt win UCI any friends amongst accomodation providers.

I shared his desire for indendence . I didnt always agree with him or even like him,but his contribution to the campaign for indendence was massive and I admired him for that

I put an e bike onto we buy any e -bike for valuation.

Firstly they dont buy an e-bike if it’s more than four years old.

    Mine is

Secondly they dont buy any e-bike that’s done more than 4000 miles  mine hasnt Never mind the good servicing reacord etc still wont buy it

Thirdly after I changed the bkes age just to see what they might offer. £132 . Having just spent £80 on parts they can stuff their £132. I’ll just keep the bloody bike anyway

I thought it was pretty poor all round until the very end when all of them appeared to back a two state solution with admittedly varying degrees of enthusiasm. Victoria Derbyshire could not get two of the participants to shut up so much of the time was wasted as they talked over one another

After a year of this I am dismayed to say that each day I wake up to find the whole situation in Gaza more shit, more desperate than I ever beleived it could be 48 hours beforehand.

For what it’s worth my ex and I divorced when my kids were six and four respectively. I became the absent parent with access at holidays and every 2nd weekend . I worried about being a bad parent constantly. The “kids are now in their mid thirties and doing well. It is natural to worry. What Mister P said +1

I have a complaint about my bike to work bike. I have had it for  4 yearsA cube kathmandu hybrid which has been virtually flawless given the spasmodic maintenance I lavish on it. It has been reliable till now. Three or four  of days ago it would switch on then switch off again after a few seconds eventually it got going, The next day it would not switch on at all. Did all the usual cleaning connections looking for loose cables etc , nothing worked.

After more searching online I discovered that the bosch intuvia display has its own battery  which sometimes fails, and stops the bike from switching on.  Also sometimes has plastic poured on top of the small screws making it very difficult to remove them to replace the battery. I have bought a new display unit at £80 if that does’nt work it ll be into the shop for a repair which will be expensive when it doesnt need to be .

Well if it has a capri in it I might have to watch some of it. Preferably without any Clarkson, and not much speech at all   Also I prefer later models of capri

DT78 I think it’s much more complicated than that. Sure there’s a few as you describe but many suffer from multi generational poverty and addiction with all the problems that brings. So when some shit stirrer like Farrage comes along and tells them their problems are all down to some other easily identifiable group they believe him/her and react in the way that seems most appropriate to them

A pox on both of them .  I am in the process of deactivating my twitter account 30 days of Twitter abstinence and it is gone  odd that Mr Musk can delete my account instantly with no comeback at all.

There certainly is distinctive taste to many single malts  so I would not say the whole thing is a marketing exercise. There’s a fair amount of work put into the various “finishes” but for me the real skill is in judging how long a whisky should be aged for before it is bottled. Given the loss of whisky  to evaporation and absorption by the barrell  a 25 year old would have a lot less spirit to sell than a 10 year old. So the job of tasting the whisky is vital too perhaps it’s the skills of the workers that determine whether a whisky is good or not

Mrs Gordimhor who knows about these things told me about trade between Orkney and Ireland  many thousands of years ago .

Err that’s to say she told me recently about a  trade route that existed many thousands of years ago ?

It does look like the one priced at £180 in the link to Master of Malt above. I would’nt expect anything like that for the bottle though . Especially not in a private sale. I have been buying whisky from MoM for years and I’ve never really had a “bargain” yet
