    What size is that commencal?
My boy is already getting to big for his commencal Ramones 16″,
He will be 6 in December and looking to get him another bike but a 20″.
Now that the pound is crap against the Euro, buying a commencal doesn’t work out as cheap as it used to.
Tempted to get a frame and build him up something using parts from my Anthem where I can.

I’ve been looking at vehicles to transport camping gear, 2 bikes, pushchair, 2 adults and 2 kids.
VW Transporter looks to be the best bet, might be able to squeeze it into a Mitsubishi L200 double cab.

Anyways, while looking at vehicals boot space on Google Images. Came across the Honda pilot which is sold in America, might be worth emailing ahead to see of you can rent one..boot is huge.

There’s also the Ford explorer which is a 7 seater, rear 2 seats fold flat giving a huge boot.

I used to have a set of Mavic XM719’s on my Anthem, was pretty fed up with changing tyres and getting thorn punctures.
So got a set of Stan’s Arch EX/hope with the main reasoning being didn’t want to have to change tyres.

Got so used to not getting any punctures on the tubeless Stan’s that I never swapped the wheels over and sold the Mavics on here to some lucky owner.

My fatbike has two sets of wheels, 26+ 4.0 tyres and 27.5+ with 3.0 tyres. Maybe I should add some 29+ wheels..

My 5 only has one set off wheels and I just keep the same front tyre on and change the rear.

I assume that there is about another half hour to that rocket man video above.
It starts off like a cheesy porno and ends with “what would rocket man ride”
    :D

So are we saying its to hot for a child to use to?
He wants a full face helmet, which is a bit overkill for when he’s riding round the park or using his scooter.

But I do worry when I take him to trail centres that he has an off and mangles his face on a rock/tree.

The problem I’ve found with kids helmets is the fit is awful and doesn’t offer a great deal of protection.

Is there any reason I’m overlooking that one of these “adults” helmets won’t fit a kid?
My oldest sons (nearly 6) head measures 54cm so can’t see why the XS/S won’t fit as its 54-56cm.

MTFU doesn’t make you enjoy a ride if your soaked through to the bone and freezing your tits off.

Delta Bike Hitch Thru Axle 20mm and 15mm

I’ve been wanting to get one of theses to attach to a piece of wood for the car. But after thinking about it, I could make one on my mill and use hope hub adaptors to get the different axle sizes.

A Hans Dampf seems to need about twice the power of a rocket Ron at the same speed. For 2 tyres that could be nearly 50W..

That explains why my orange 5 feels slow..
Had a suspicion it was the tyres making it an effort to ride.
What should I swap to with a rock razor on the rear?
    Hans Dampf trailstar @ 25psi 44.5watts!!

Maybe buy the lowest specced model in the range and replace all the components?
Sell the stock components on here or eBay.

I’m find that 28 on the front and 11-42 cassette is leaving me wanting a higher gear on the flats/fire roads.
Currently no 30t direct mount chairing for ethirteen crank..
Anybody know of another manufacturer who does direct mount for ethirteen cranks?

Magura Vyron. Is it any good? I like the fact I can easily move it from one bike to another as there’s no cables.
Winstanleys are doing them for £255

Bait him…leave the bike where you think he will Nick it. You need to film it from somewhere he can’t see you.
You then need a mate ready to jump on him before he rides off with your bike.
Stop filming before you jump on him.
Be sure to publicly humiliate him..

Demoing a couple of Birds around Swinley with a significantly younger girl friend (not girlfriend) when a guy on a Capra says “Nice bird mate”, “Yeh I think so”. Flattered that he thought she was my bird, though to be honest he’d been waiting to say that to any ‘couple’ he saw on a Bird.

He could have said “Nice ride mate”

Replacing a broken spoke and truing the bugger afterwards. My ham fisted approach always sees me dropping it off at the lbs to make amends.

Factor in having to remove the tyre, valve, sealant and tubeless tape. Only have to go through the pain of setting it up tubeless again!

A lot of feedback with the consensus being a head boiler… might take the risk as I’d like the added protection this helmet gives.

There’s 23mm clearance from the top of the tyre nobs to the arch of the bluto.
Based on my maths above you’d only have 4mm clearance, probably more with a 2.8 tyre.

    Tom,
All things being equal if you were to use a 29er XM551 rim and WTB Ranger 3.0 rubber.
27.5 to 29 is 1.5″ which is 38.1mm bigger in diameter.
Divide by 2 and the wheel will be 19.05mm bigger in radius.

I measured mine at 725mm in diameter with my maths that’s makes a 29er version of my wheel 763.1mm.

When I’m home I’ll measure how much clearance I have in the bluto.
