    This article is pretty funny…
    http://edition.cnn.com/2014/01/24/tech/web/apparently-this-matters-lyubov-orlova-ghost-ship/

The private owners of the ship racked up too much debt, and, in 2010, Canadian authorities seized the vessel, which had been docked in St. John’s, Newfoundland where it was, presumably, quite bored.
Two years later, the Canadians sold it for scrap and began hauling the old girl down to the Dominican Republic so it could be dismantled and possibly turned into steel drums.

But then, only one day after leaving port, the towline snapped in heavy seas, and the Lyubov Orlova decided to piss off across the Atlantic. As one does when you have nothing better to do and you’re a boat.
“(Sigh) I would like to have seen Montana.”

Eventually, another Canadian ship was sent out to corral the wayward vessel in what can only be described as the slowest, crappiest, worst-attended rodeo of all time. But once captured, the Lyubov Orlova was safely hauled farther out to sea, away from Canadian oil rigs.
And then they just sort of cut it loose in international waters. Because, hey, what’s the worst that could happen?

Transport Canada, the government department responsible for roads and planes and trains and SHIPS YOU JUST LET WANDER OFF INTO THE OCEAN, assured its citizens that the Lyubov Orlova “no longer poses a threat to the safety of [Canadian] offshore oil installations, their personnel, or the marine environment.”
As for everyone else and the hundreds of diseased cannibal rats floating around the Atlantic?
    “Soory ‘boot that, eLyubov

    Any pictures?
    Any thread left?
If there’s some shaft left..try taping a new thread on it.
Put two thin nuts on, lock them against each other. Then you can use the inner one to unscrew the shaft?

    Topeak Joe blow sport 2..
I got mine from halfords about 6 weeks ago as they were doing them for the same price as Merlin’s.
    At the time was £27.50

There currently £31.50 so still cheaper than Merlin’s..

    She’s gone to bee early…
= Babestation while I’m making dinner followed by copious amounts of porn.
Make a deposit in the back of her draws while she’s sleeping.
Set alarm and get out early on bike..home for lunch time.

When you get home you can then give her some stick for not having your lunch ready.

“MakeMKV” to rip DVD or blu ray.. Then use “handbrake” to encode it.
Handbrake let’s you change the resolution etc..this will bring the file size down.

Did you not use rimstrips like the stans one’s, with your XM719’s? Or just multiple layers if tape?
Also did you drill the valve hole?

I’ve got some XM719’s I’ve been thinking of converting.

    Cheers

How does the motul oil compare to rockshoxs oil’s? Are the weights of each similar?
Loco I looked on you site and couldn’t see any grease, I need some grease for my SID RCT3’s. What would you recommended?

    Cheers

Having said that, if I was buying new, I probably wouldn’t bother…can’t see any real advantage worth paying more for

    Coz they look cool
And if you snap a spoke on the sprocket side, you can easily replace it while on the trial..
    Assuming you carry a spare.

I use a topeak joe blow sport ii, push the tyre down with your thumb so that you contact the rear of the valve, hold it there.
Then proceed to pump it up..blows up quicker IMHO as less air escapes around the valve.

    Works for me every time.

I sent some royal mail tracked to Slovakia.. Got there no problem.
Although this was about 4-5 months ago.

I did send them fully bleed with hoses. Shouldn’t be an issue if its shimano mineral oil??

I’ve received all my disc brakes via royal mail from Merlin’s and mineral oil from CRC.

You just need to change the top cup I believe.. ZS44 top should do the trick..

“The bike’s head tube inner diameter actually remains the same, at least on Giant’s bikes. This means that not only can all of Giant’s bikes that come equipped with the OverDrive 2 system be easily converted to fit a standard tapered fork and stem, but older models from previous years can also be converted to accept a new OverDrive 2 steerer equipped fork. “

Screwing it down isn’t a problem at the moment..
Obviously a bit more difficult when the shock isn’t in the bike..

What do you mean by when the main seal flips over/inside out?
The seal that’s visible on the air can that’s in contact with the main shaft?

If so that seal is still looking normal..

MK2’s arent much fun in this mud we have at the moment..went up ashridge today.
Any kind of descent with a slight camber is lethal.. Got a lovely bruise on the inside of my leg, from an off on not even a steep descent.
Which ruined my confidence for the rest of the ride.

One of the joys of having your own mill..you can just make your own.
But then even that’s adds up to more than some of these cheap Chinese lights..
But at least you know if the parts you put in are decent quality and reliable.

There’s a bit on it here..

    HTC one has BT4..

If you have a garnin heart rate monitor, you supposedly can use the suunto mini movestick plugged into an OTG cable.
You also need to install ant USB service + and ant + Service on your phone

    Forgot to update this thread.
Got my front wheel back the week before Xmas, hope said there was nothing wrong with the bearing and tru d the wheel up.

I’m not impressed with the bearing, hope state that the stainless bearings are smoother than the old ones used in the pro 2s.

Like i said before my pro 2’s are smooth as butter..

Took my bike out yesterday in some local mud. Found that the MK2’s roll OK on the road, but drag a lot in mud. Get a bit of sliding and skwirming in mud, which at times on the canal can be a bit if a worry of ending up in the water..

I priced up building my own trance 29er. For £1200 less than the stock trance X 0, I would have a better bike.
    Full XT Group set
Stans Arch EX on hope Evo
    Rock Show Rev dual air
    Reverb post
    Carbon bars
    Thomson stem
    Fox float CTD trail kashima
A saddle that fits my butt
    Etc

This time of year works out good on new parts with merlin and CRC offering 10% discount

I decided to hold fire with all this 650b BS..

I recently got arch ex on Hope Pro 2 Evo SP,I got these as I wanted to go tubeless plus I’m About 100kg kitted up.

They seem a lot flexier than my XM719’s, whether that is down to build quality or rim strength I don’t know. But my opinion is they won’t hold up to the abuse my 719’s have had, without a trip or two to the wheel builder.

Muc off brake cleaner has always worked for me..
I’ve had shimano oil over a brand new RT86 rotor..covered it in muc off brake cleaner and let it soak for a bit, then wiped it all off..
    No probs at all..

“Because the product is charged by filling with compressed air and whether it is full or not it is deemed a prohibited item under the above guidelines.”

Does that mean you can no longer post inner tubes?

Yep and no bike pumps either..

Wonder how many C0² pumps and cartridges get posted every day..
