30mm is way too much sag on an NRS, you only want a couple of mm, just so you can see the rocker arms starting to move. I'd take a shock pump out with you & play, but remember to leave the -'ve air at 50psi if it's a dual air shock.

Sponging-Machine, if yours measures 205, it could be labled wrongly. Check the headtube length to make sure, should be 190mm on an XL, 165 on a L.
Wouldn't be the first one to come out of the factory wrong.

If you're there on Monday I'm not working so could show you around for a ride

I wouldn't want to leave my bike anywhere within the park unless it's really bolted down well or inside the Chalet, there's sherwood pines on the other side of the fence, so some good fun singletrack for a couple of hours.
I think there's some pretty good pub food to be had in Edwinstowe (really should know better with me living 10 mins from there) Not sure about proper restaurants though, unless you try somewhere like Il Rosso in Mansfield.

They are designed for zero sag, it even says so on some frames.
But try it so it's just on the turn of sagging & they ride really nicely.
Only put 50psi in the negative air though if it's a dual air shock, regardless of rider weight.

My better half has a bike & enjoys riding it, just not on more technical stuff. She's not scared of it-she competes on her horse at Advanced eventing, jumping 4'-4'6 stuff to hidden landings & loves that. Just doesn't enjoy the mtb as much.
Different people enjoy different things, male or female.

I had a set that had the same problem. Spoke to Propel who said it was a known problem & would be sorted under warranty, so sent the brakes off
6 MONTHS LATER & a hell of a lot of chasing & they finally arrived back fixed!!
This was a while ago though, so things may have speeded up since

It'll most likely be your chain that's wearing them out so quickly, as they stretch they wear everything out more quickly as the pitch of the chain no longer matches the teeth on rings, cassette & jockey wheels.
They won't last as long as 90's stuff as you have more gears now-chain is more narrow, so stretch faster.

Are you changing your chain often enough? Might be worth checking if you're getting through jockey wheels that quickly

If it bolts to on IS fork & uses a 180mm rotor, when you swap it to a PM fork & need an adaptor, you'll need a bigger rotor by 20mm as well. The adaptor spaces the caliper further away from the fork, resulting in the need for a bigger rotor.

Dot 4 & 5.1 CAN be mixed safely, but you're not getting any benefits of the 5.1 if you do.
Dot 4 doesn't need changing quite as often as 5.1, but has a lower boiling point, so if you have a overheating issue, get some fresh new 5.1
Don't use an old bottle either, make sure it's fresh.

Dot 5 is different stuff completely & needs avoiding-it won't do your brakes much good at all.

200, if it's an IS Caliper & Post Mount fork, you have to add 20mm to the rotor size to allow for the adaptor

It'll bolt up as it's 74mm, but you'll more than likely have rubbing problems, I did with some Marz forks I had, just had to do some creative work with a file!

Tow bar-easier to get your bike on/off,
won't dent your roof if you have a mishap whilst loading/unloading,
    better fuel economy etc. etc.

If you get the stainless ones they're ok, the normal ones tend to seize up pretty quickly

    That is horrific.

Black isn't a colour, so your research is somewhat flawed

It's improving as there hasn't been much rain since saturday. The Kitchener trail will still be nasty in places, but everything else should be pretty good if it doesn't rain much.

They're nice enough for the money, but one of the most flexy composite frames I've ever ridden! Really not very stiff if you ride them hard at all-one of the reasons most composite bikes cost much more, but for the cash, a good bike.

Axle problems are quite commmon, worth taking it out & checking, although they do tend to snap rather than bent

Yep, they are stupid money everywhere.
Buy silly mechs, pay silly prices to keep them going IMHO…

I've been using the socks for running for a while now as had problems with my Calf seizing up & had no problems since, maybe a placebo affect, but something I'm willing to live with even if that is the case.
Hoping to get some cycling shorts this year, if I can ever afford them!

I'll be on my Anthem Advanced & an XTC hardtail as a spare. Short travel full sus is perfect imho, unless it's muddy (again) then singlespeed hardtail.

one of those awkward things that's worthless, but not common. Might be worth asking an lbs if they've got any kicking around, or just don't bother with it!

They come with the rim, not the rim tape, usually in some mavic rims.
I'd call them gromits I guess

    goldenwonder

They should indeed be completely sealed, the spokes don't fit in the same way as a tubed rim, they have to be put into the little cups & screwed in from the hub side of the rim if you like. Wants investigating if it is leaking from a spoke hole

afaik, the names on the blog are those who delivered their entries on Monday ( I know mine is :D) I'm sure the rest will be sorted soon & uploaded when they get chance.

My point is, there isn't much to be made from facing BB's, with the cost of the tool, new cutters every so often, workshop running costs etc. It takes a hell of a long time for the tool to even pay for itself.

    goldenwonder

Yep-complete con, I mean why would any bike shop pay £hundreds for a specialist tool, to charge £10 a go to face frames when there's no point aother than ripping people off?

It all fills up very quickly, not just the solo's so if you want to do it, fill your form in & get it in asap!

Yep, Pauls is the place for that kind of stuff. Best time to be looking though would be September time, as thats when the new models usually get offically launched

Yes you are mad, but we're starting to look at moving for pretty much the same reason. SWMBO is starting to get fed up of bikes in the house, so need somewhere with a proper garage & not for the car.

No, solo helper doesn't need to pay, just your £65

About as tight as it was when you removed it 😉
Pretty tight, they almost come to a stop, so you'll know when you're about there
