I'm afraid I'm neither-hence the puppy, from a distance it makes me look popular to onlookers

I'm already going to say "ooooooohhhhhhhhhhhh he's/she's so cute" like i'm talking about a child, although dogs are always far cuter.

Yep, have had this daily since we got her at 8 weeks!
Nobody ever wants to talk to me now though, far to interested in the 'cute ikle puppy'

We'll have a 12 week old Cocker Spaniel puppy with us keeping us entertained-feel free to come & see her in Solo camping!

it was fairly dry last year wasnt it ?

It wasn't as bad as previous years, but couldn't in anyway, state or form call it dry.

Last time I heard the course is going to be similar, but a touch longer as they've got access to a bit more land this year & possibly reversed direction from last year.

It's a difficult material to work with, not really much lighter, but look stunning & supposed to last forever if you buy a good one.
Looks alone would just about sell one to me-if I could afford one!

The KTM's ride nicely & look the part, just a shame they fall to bits (IME). Don't know anything about the Ducati ones though

I've got an old Thule from paul.e off this very site & it's been fantastic.
Would normally have gone for a Pendle, but glad I got the Thule in the end

It should have the choice of either double or triple, wether it will or not remains to be seen

17.99? Bloody hell! Should be able to get some Clarks or similar for about a tenner!

I haven't used one myself as all my bikes have proper mounts, although fitted a fair few & never had any come backs with them

Get one of those adaptors for your saddle or seatpost-easy problem solved.

Pistons are easy on HFX's as you can split the caliper.
Often the pistons leak aroud the seal if they're old.
Bleeding can be a pig though, often taking several attempts, even with the proper bleed kit (which is a waste of money IMO)
whereabouts are you based? Maybe someone can help you sort them?

Same as Deore & Tekro Auriga.
Usually fit Clarks, A2Z or Fibrax as cheap replacements, or Giant's own, which are usually cheaper still & not a bad pad.

Crikey, thought mine were heavy at 1700g :S

more air isn't heavier, and tubeless doesn't really mean lower pressures, it means similar pressures will feel less, with a more supple tyre and better grip. The tube can almost double sidewall thickness, that's the difference

I'm well aware more air isn't heavier, but many people argue that tubeless does mean you can run lower pressures as can't pinch flat etc.
They're heavier if UST as the tyres are heavier than tubed tyres, especially when he had to go to the extent of dual ply to stop them falling off the rim (EX823)

Sorry, miscounted this is my 8th Mayhem not 10th, but 13 24hour races in total so far & still not much better than middle of the pack!

TF Tuned or local bearing supplier would be my choice.

A friend of mine has all sorts of problems with his burping running UST, only way he stopped it was running Dual Ply Maxxis & running 40psi-undoing the supposed goodness of tubless being lighter & able to run lower pressures.
I ride the same rides & same times as him using lighter tyres & tubes & don't have the problems..

I wouldn't touch anything related to Rover if it's got a petrol K series engine in it, unless you want to spend money on having the head gasket done, because it will go.
Buy bland, Ford-my missus has a '03 1.3 Fiesta, slow & boring but has done 130k & never faultered. Or look at Toyota-older corolla or something, cheap as chips & as reliable as anything is going to be at that price.

Cracking tyres for what they're designed for-which suprisingly isn't mud, hence the lack of grip when it gets a bit gloopy!

Conti xc 1.5's or Black Shark muds, the only choice for Mayhem!

I used to sell a fair few of the Saris Bones & never had any problems.
Bit of a faff to set up, but nice & solid once you've sorted it, all recycled too.

Have you tried taking them off & cleaning them? Often find you get grit between the adjusters causing them to turn together

I use the gels & Rego, but stopped using PSP & electolite one(forget the name) as started doing really funny things to my insides when on long rides, Mayhem etc. stopped taking it & went back to just water to drink & problem solved-stomach back to normal in two laps

I run genuine shimano ones, but thats just because it's what I've got

Assume you mean the high & low limit screws? WHat are you doing with them to round them off? Cheap/badly fitting screw drivers or siezing up? As I've never rounded one of those off yet in 15 years of cycling!

1/4". It's rare you'll need a 3/8" unless you're going to use it on crank bolts etc.

Road bike from North Sheffield to Mansfield tomorrow after work, but that's about it this weekend.
Will be out this afternoon for a short blast though.

I've put diesel/petrol mix in mine before when it was given to me & topped up with dielel & had no problems at all, but that is a 4.2l 6 cylinder diesel that's 15 years old, not sure I'd want to do it in a modern common rail engine, although probably still would try it to save the £250!

I sliced into the end of my thumb in a rotor whilst shimming the caliper before the days of post mount rear calipers, through the nail & nail bed, leaving the tip flapping. Two hours in A&E, wasn't the best thing I'd ever done!

Take the loudest generator known to man & make sure you run it all night both friday & saturday. Don't worry about everyone else trying to sleep around you, they'll love it!
We had it couple of years ago-a team were running it to run a microwave & lights!
