I have at present 6 bikes, a 7th on the way & possibly an 8th not too far behind. 4 are in my storage facility, 1 in the kitchen & 1 in the spare bedroom as stores are full of the rest of them & other bike & car related tat.
No such thing as too many, get some more space!

    This one?

    No idea, but brilliant photo!

I went Saturday morning & it was a bit odd, bit wet in places, but dry & dusty where the sun had managed to get at it.
Didn't notice the diversion until on my way home as I don't usually ride much of the Kitchener trail up there, as it gets too busy-there's plenty of other trails to ride!

    I'm out I'm afriad.
Was coming, but need to be home by 1.30 latest now, so doubt I'd make it back in time so local only for me now.
Hope you all have a good one.

I walked the dog elsewhere in there this morning & was wet in places, but not too bad.
I'm going to head up there for a couple of hours in the morning if you fancy riding with someone?

Assuming I do actually drag myself out of bed in time I'll be there & usually have at least 2, usually more spare tubes, so shouldn't worry too much. That's not an invite to ride not carrying anything yourself though…Will…

SP is part of the part code for the outer. The complete code would be SP36/40/41 etc. so could be that you have been sent 41 & it just doesn't say it on the casing.
I really wouldn't worry about it & just fit it & ride.

6mm is brake outer generally, not gear.

    ALL shimano is the same

    No it isn't.
There's 4mm, 5mm, then XTR/Dura Ace has a silicon grease or some such already inside the outer, which the others don't.

don't worry about insurance, you will probably be covered on household legal cover anyway.

Probably one of the worst bits of advise I've ever heard!!!!

Any doubts call/email the organiser & ask.
There may well be a pro event photographer trying to earn a living & might not take kindly to someone just turning up & taking pics, but if they know he's there & what he's doing I doubt there'd be a problem.
Also might be an idea to make sure he's insured, just incase the worst happens.

I can give a lift from North Notts/Mansfield way if that helps anyone? Need to get back reasonable time though, so wouldn't be able to hang around after the ride

I ran a shop for eight years before finally leaving earlier this year. Not as rosy & fun as you might think!
Donn't get me wrong it had it's moments, met some great people but you do tend to lose your hobby & the hours can be madness for the return. WHat you want to sell/need to sell are often two VERY different things. You do need to aim for the market that is there & not the market you want to sell to.
I left in the end to run my own business-out of the bike trade to stand a better chance of earning a reasonable living.
But bets of luck if you want to give it a go-would seriously advise getting some decent experiece working in one before setting up though if that's what you're thinking.

It's not cheap IMO, but not massively excessive. Sure if you'd let the shop supply the parts you'd have much cheaper labour.
Or get them to fit the headset & face the BB if you can't do that, then build it yourself?
Or let me do it for half price including facing & headset fitting 😉

Prob £10-15? About all I'd pay for a pair without the cleats. Why not just keep them as a spare set?

I'm a big fan of Rock Shox stuff. Pikes are awesome IMO. So much stiffer & lighter than Marz usually. Although Marz are usually cheaper.

What hub is it? Probably just wants a service or new bearings

I tend to change mine around every 3 years, depending on how much use it's had/crashes/wear/smell & general mankyness

I've done London marathon once (this year) & solo 24 a few times & solo is harder mentally, but my muscles were more tired running & it took longer for them to recover from running.

Any 36/45 degree integrated will fit the Reign, no idea what will fit the mmmbop though

Couple of hours on the road bike after I take the dog for a walk, hard work this being self employed stuff 😉

I do apologise, I must remember to rethink the way I live my life to please people I've never met on an internet forum.

I burnt my entire collection around 6 months ago, including that issue 🙁
Would have thought more 96ish though than 94

    Yep, self employed photographer.
Was the manager in a bike shop for 8 years but did my photography as a part time thing but along came the time to make the decision-steady job, or jump for it & hope for the best.
Scariest thing I've ever done. Still very early days & working more hours than ever, but well worth it & the work load is steadily increasing.
More to do with the lifestyle I wanted more than anything else & I've now got my cycling back as a sport I love rather than a 6 day a week job!

They're written on the seals on all of them, so if you've got time to take a bolt out of each pivot on one side, just read them & go to your lbs (local bearing supplier)

Or you could try the old age way of two sockets & a vice, works well enough if you're careful.
What sort of shop is it though that can't/won't fit a shock eye bush!?

only chance is via Amer sports I would have thought. Best bet would be to have a chat with your LBS, see if they can ask for you, as don't think they'll deal direct.

Lakes-that's the headset remover, not the crown race remover, different tool for a different job. He wants one to pull the crown race off the forks.

I've got something similar, Ice Toolz I think mine is, works OK on most, not a patch on the Park one, but at the price of it, it shouldn't be!
That one in your link looks expensive though.

Loosen off the caliper so its floppy. Pull the brake leaver to clamp the caliper on to the rotor. Tighten the bolts and release the brake. The caliper should now be perfectly aligned.

Doesn't always work. Correct way is to loosen off the mounting bolts, adjust so the rotor sits in the middle of the caliper & re tighten. Check the gap by eye.
If when you've done that the brake starts to rub again, then it does sound like a sticking piston.

work it in & out, holding the non stuck one in so the sticking one has to move. clean & lube the sticking one when it's pumped out as far as you dare with either proper brake lube or brake fluid.

    goldenwonder

More likely that you've either got a sticking piston or the caliper needs re aligning, doubt that bleeding will achieve much.

I've got an Anthem & before that had another Anthem!
Used to race on a hardtail & still have an XTC, but very rarely ride it as it just doesn't seem as quick & isn't as comfortable.
