Poor fuel economy all the time for me, weather makes little if any difference. 20mpg out of mine 🙁
Is it due a service? Checked tyre pressures?

Land Rover defender 110, limited slip diffs, studded tyres, snow chains.

Didn’t know Landrovers came with Limited Slip diffs? That’s a new one on me after owning six of them?!

    My 4×4 of choice:

1995, battered, 223,000 miles & love it to bits.
Between the family we’ve had RangeRovers of various types, LR 90’s & 110’s, L200, G wagon, M Class, 2.8 & 3.1l Troopers & the Landcruiser beats them all as an all rounder. I bought this three years ago off my parents when they went for a slightly newer version & the only other thing I’d consider would be another Landcruiser.

Rough idea on price to convert a Hope HID like the one in your photo? Just so I know if I’m wasting my/your time in contacting you & going through details about it.

You think it’s high on an Anthem?? WHat else have you ridden to compare that to as it’s lower than many, unless of course you’re refering to the Anthem X & not the Anthem?

I’ve got a few of them, oldest one being 6 years old, had one seal kit as it got grit inside it & killed it, but after rebuild has been great.
We only ever had three come back during my time in the shop (8 years) all of which were replaced without any problems under warranty.

Looks like a crack to me, although I wouldn’t have taken the paint off unless you’ve spoken to who you bought it off first?

    They are cracking bikes.
I was going to buy one when the 2010’s were first launched, but none available then so had to go for the Advanced 3 instead 😉
Have worked on quite a few since that belong in a hire fleet & am quite impressed, quick, stiff yet not too harsh, more comfortable that some of the earlier TCR’s.
They are quite a racey geomtry if that’s what you’re looking for? If you want something more relaxed, then the Defy if the bike you need.

I had similar problems with some Sealskinz that were almost two years old, sent them back through LBS & new pair arrived FOC, no problems at all.
Now I wash them by hand & never had an issue with gloves since.

Black DT spokes are no weaker or stronger than silver.
As has been said above, much more likely down to:
Crap quality build in the first place.

Spokes a poor fit in the hub, in which case get a new hub or rebuild using spoke washers & new spokes.

Or they’re not actually DT spokes in your wheel, but a cheap generic black spoke that you beleive are DT, do they all have the DT logo on the heads?

Felt tend to come a touch on the large size IMO, My ex boss is 6’1 & he had a 58cm F55, I’m a mere 5’8, tried a 56 & it was massive on me, so could only ride a 54 in Felt.

Not that I know of, but I do know they’re useless at answering their phone or emails.
If you’re trying to get hold of them to try & sort anything Formula related, I’d try Formula direct instead.
*edit* could be wrong, no contact page on thier website? No email or phone number visible? Must admit it doesn’t look great.

And proof that a Pugsley has it’s uses, I couldn’t keep up with him in the deep stuff at all, in fact I just couldn’t keep the thing upright!
All good fun though & glad we made the effort.

Never mind, I live on the edge of the forest, so will go for a sneaky one anyway, always more fun when it’s not too busy in there.

i didnt go through the red light

Never said you did, you over took the bus whislt it was waiting at a red light? Would you do that in a car? Or was there a cycle filter lane on the inside of the bus?
Dangerous IMO to overtake something the size of a bus, no way of really telling when the lights were due to change & the bus to start moving is there?

    goldenwonder

    -1/10.
You overtook at a red light?
No proof he was aiming at you? You honestly think he’d risk his licence/livelyhood for the sake of a cyclist who doesn’t look at road markings?
Shirly you can manage better than that, so swearing, bad spelling, CaPs BuTtOn or anything??

Go to your Local Giant dealer & talk to them, don’t try & hide anything & deals can often be sorted, even if nothing’s in writing from Giant about a crash replacement policy.
(Yes I do speak from experience as a used to be dealer)

Keep trying to find enough to give my Landcruiser a test in the snow, but haven’t managed it yet.
My Parents however have an L200 with standard tyres on it & it’s bloody useless! So they end up running around in an old SWB Landrover instead-much more capable.

DIY everything, but did run an LBS for eight years.

I may be being dumb but whats to stop the inner tube bulging thru the holes?

    Really strong, wide rim tape!
Reinforced parcel tape often works well.

I’ve found with mono mini’s it’s often just the brass pivot insert leeds lubricating on in the lever, give it a quick squirt & all should be good again.

Seal skinz liner gloves? Really thin, about £5 iirc & make a big difference

    goldenwonder

They’re easy enough, just a bit fiddly!
You’ll need to bleed it up after as well obviously.

Common problem with some of the earlier oro’s, so might be the same thing in your b4’s.
If you get a lever rebulid kit, you’ll probably notice there’s a difference between the new & the old.

I only have 7 bikes at the moment, so fairly restrained.
I’m sure more will come soon though. Don’t restrict yourself just to mountain bikes as above though, cx, road-it’s all good!

Yes, always ask. Have done various things from lending a pump as they haven’t got one, replacing snapped gear cable (yes I do carry spares) even gave someone a Park chain tool at Mountain Mayhem one year, he’d snapped his chain & didn’t have a tool with him, thought it’d be better for him to finish his night lap rather than walking.

Hope Hoops use DT spokes & nipples so 0.127″ (3.23mm) nipples= black Park one, don’t know what colour Spokey it would be.

higher tensions? Higher that 1200NM? There won’t be many wheels around that need to go tighter & I don’t have problems at that.

    goldenwonder

Buddy’s are great & really comfortable, but I personally use these:

as I find them easier to work with & a bit quicker doing the first tensioning.
*EDIT* You’ll need the Park Black one for the Hopes, but not 100% sure if it’ll be the same for your Fulcrums, although very likely.

When I get round to it.
Service my own forks, so usually around 6 months.
Rear shocks, when I’ve got nothing better to do it’s a 5 min job to do an air can service. Full service probably every 18 months, but I don’t seem to keep bikes that long (except for my Anthem)

They’re nice bits of kit, very well put together-needle roller bearings in the equilink etc.
The only real downside I cam across on the one I had was how steep the head angle is for the type of bike, but very quickly got used to it.
Took some setting up, rode badly first time out, then spent some time setting it up (& changing the bars to something of a reasonable shape!)
    which transformed it.
Climbed well for a heavy bike too.
For reference, I’m 5’8 & rode a 17.5, which was ok for general riding about, think the 15 would have been too short for me as I do like quite a long reach.

Would be well protected ( I have a Peli case) but a pig to get at when you want it in a rush.
I just use a holster type case in my bag, or have been known to just ride with my camera back pack on & just make sure everything’s insured properly.

There’s plenty of reasonable singletrack if you open your eyes & look for it, there’s so much more to the place than the Kitchener trail.
It is possible to do 3hours+ without riding the same trail twice if you know where to go.
But in answer to your question, yes it’s all rideable, I’ve been there a couple of times in the last week & haven’t bothered putting the mud tyres on yet, still runnning Racing Ralphs.

Not as such no, but there is a tap & concrete area, so if you take a bucket & brushes with you, you should be able to do something.
It’s really nice in some places, but nasty in others & really slippery.

    Good choice.
I personally prefer RockShox to Fox any day of the week.
(although am currently riding Fox as I can’t afford to upgrade:( )

I’m liking the KMC at the moment, seem to be a bit smoother than Sram, or still revert back to Shimano for the best shifting.
