Proven to happen often – no question at all. Its all kept hush hush by the hunts but it is common practice. Read the league against cruel sports evidence on it. seethe court cases

    HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!
I assume that is meant to be funny?

they ensure a supply of foxes for hunting by feeding them and buy creating artificial earths and if you wiped out all the foxes in a hunts area the hunt would be annoyed as they would have no prey left.

    Utter bobbins.
Not sure where you’ve got that information from, Daily Mail perhaps? But that simply does not happen.

    Park Mini chain brute.
Best compact chain tool I’ve used.
Had mine for 7 years so far & still going strong.
Unless you’re after something more workshop style?

    Local motor bike shop.
Much cheaper & good quality stuff-I use Silkolene in various weights & never had a problem.

There aren’t any trail centres in the Peak District-that’s the fun of the place!
Have a look here for some routes, or get an OS map & go adventuring.

Lugged Alan ‘cross bikes can still be seen at races most weekends. Not common, but they are still out there being used properly.

As far as I knew, all Reba’s can have the travel adjusted, to either 115 or 120, depending on the age, later ones to 120.

Friend of mine had great problems, order took 10 days (big order, into 4 figures)
Had to chase it three times before it was dispatched, then four items from the order was missing.
Not the greatest at the moment it seems.
Only reason I knew about it was I was supposed to be bulding the bike last week, but no chainset, cassette, stem or brake mount makes it a little difficult

Are they not the same as the XT (M775) & XTR (M975)?
Look like it to me & should be available in just about every shop in the country

    Another vote for Flow’s
I built a pair on Friday & very impressed with the quality of them, really nice & round to begin with, makes a refreshing change!

Shimano for the best shifting on Shimano groupsets, always just seem that little bit smoother & slicker, but not ass reliable as I’d like (snapped one or two..)
Personal preference is KMC, for both road & mtb.

Shimano chains are made by KMC

That may be true, but only in the same way as Colnago frames are made by Giant-same factory & same employees, but very different products.

    Yep, EC70’s, 685mm wide, 9deg sweep & nice & light.

LAS Squalo for me. Really comfortable & you don’t see them everywhere.
Mine came with two liners as well, a summer & a winter one than restricts air flow.

If you want the ‘best’ why not go custom?
Someone like Brian Rourke will build you whatever geometry you want & paint it whatever colour you like. Job done.

Worried? Not in the slightest. The 517’s were (are) a good rim. If they’re in good condition & the right price, go for it.

I’ve used WH paint in Mansfield a few times for BMX frames & car wheels.
Always been cheap enough (£25 per frame last time) & the finish has lasted well.

the 717 is the replacement for the 517, so same width as essentially the same rim.
The 517 was discontinued several years ago, after it came in to replace the 217 (awesome rims & if anyone has a good pair of sunsets, let me know)
In an answer to your question, your 1.75’s will fit fine.

    It’s all in ‘the rules’

Rule #34 / Mountain bike shoes and pedals have their place.
    On a mountain bike.

Mrs GW-‘Have you got new forks/bars/wheels/etc on that?’
    GW-‘Yes dear’
    Mrs GW-‘Thought it looked different’

Why the need to hide spending money on something you enjoy?

I use Schwalbe xx lightweight ones on my Anthem to keep the weight down as far as possible, anything else has the cheapest ones in the shop.

I know I could buy Hope Hoops, but I prefer to build my own wheels if I’m not running factory built ones like Mavics as hand builds are my ‘thing’ + Hope don’t come with Revolution spokes, only standard Sapim or give the colour option or lacing pattern with handbuilds.
Going by weights listed by the manufacturers & came out at 1595g for the pair, so not too bad.
Velocity rims don’t seem any lighter than the Open Pro’s & Stans are crazy money.
Might rethink the Ksyriums though, as touch lighter & love the look of them.

I’ve got a set of DT 370’s on 717’s that have done very little.
Came new on my Anthem Advanced, but I took them off when I built a new set.
Not sure on where to value them, £150 + postage?

The way things are at the moment, I’d say £200 tops on a good day.
I sold a complete bike built onto the same frame with XT, Manitou R7 MRD’s & old mini’s for £450 last year.

I’d want to see it in person first, but I’d probably ride that, especially if it was cheap enough.
Had several frames with worse dents that have never caused a problem.

Most Giant frames are bare metal indside the seat tube, the two trances I’ve had were anyway, as well as my Reign, XTC etc etc.
Sounds a bit like the top may have been splayed open for some reason, or run with the clamp loose, streching the top.
I’d take it to a Giant dealer to have a look at (which I happen to work at)
    Whereabouts are you?

£11.49 isn’t that cheap for 1l of LHM, think I paid £6.99 locally last time I bought some.

    What forks are you running?
If you’ve got Reba’s, as a few seem to, why not just change the travel in them?

We were stopped a year or so ago riding up the Roman Road from Hope towards Hope cross, to be told ‘this isn’t a bridle way, you have no right to be on here’
To which we informed him of his error, so out came his map pointing at where we were & the fact it was a footpath-He was pointing at the wrong track & didn’t really know where he was, great for a Park Ranger!
He must have felt a little silly.

Riders with plenty of Gnarrrr factor help.
Remote flash (cheapo ebay triggers are fine if you’re going fully manual)
Tilt the camera to make the ground look steeper than it really is.
    edit*
Learn what the different settings on your camera actually achieve in terms of ISO settings, shutter speeds, aperture values & how they affect DOF etc etc.

    SO you mean downtube shifters?
They’re a friction shifter, they rely on the friction of the mechanism in the shifter to hold it in gear.
Mech’s are indexed anyway, only shifters are.
