Shimano. We’ve had too many failures on KMC chains fitted OEM for me to trust them now, used to be a fan 🙁

It gets wet, but never sticky as it’s so well draining.
The Kitchener trail is very well marked, but there’s loads of other trails around there if you look.
Don’t get too excited though unless you like pretty flat, but pedally, twisty singletrack.

Mine took a couple of weeks, but the licence number is the same as your membership number (at least mine is)
You can only get a provisional licence with bronze membership though, is that all you need? The main reason I went for silver-so I could get a full one.

E13 also do one that fits a standard press fit frame, forgot about that one.

Whats wrong with 45psi max on a ‘cross rim? Who in their right mind would run any more!

    Never ridden 3 Peaks…?!

Not yet (tried but not managed to get an entry) but I have run around the area & ridden my cx all over the Peak District at lower pressures than that.

We spoke to Hope last week & they do a conversion to allow BB30 cranks to work in their cups by swapping the bearings-We’re fitting them this week all being well.

    Yes-depending on the BB.
Hope make a BB for a threaded frame that’ll accept a 30mm axle.

Ah, sorry, my mistake. Serves me right for flitting between here & ‘work’

Depends on the age & configuration of the fork-Not all Fox can be altered in the same way or by the same amount.

Mavics if you’re on a budget, either something like the A719? Or even Open Pro’s if you want something fairly light, reliable & clincher, but aren’t bothered about deep profile.

I’m not sure on the 160 HPC tbh, I know my 140 HPA Pro isn’t due until feb, but some are due much sooner.
I don’t want to get in trouble so can’t advise you to ring the shop tomorrow & ask, but any Cube dealer can ring & get the latest times.

    5’9 on a Stereo-18 without a doubt, you’ll find the 16 too short.

    I’m 5’8 & just ordered an 18″ Stereo 140 HPA (2015)
    also ride a 17″ Reaction.
Where in the world are you?

We’ve sold loads of those this year.
Great bikes for the money, they are bright though, so make sure he/you like the colour!
I wouldn’t leave it too long though, unless your LBS is going to save one for you as I can see them selling out before the end of the model year.

Have you tried talking to either of them to find out?
Standard procedure is that your warranty lies with the retailer you bought it form & not the manufacturer, but might be worth a phone call first to see if they’ll help.

140’s run really well on those, well worth doing if she’s finding its limits (she must be riding the hell out of it!!)

It’s an Easton wheel-most of them seem to creak sadly.

Renthal Fat bar or Fat bar light, depending on how wide you want to go.
    Lights are 740mm, Fatbar are 780. come in 10,20 & 30mm rise.

Great feeling bar IMO & all I use on both of my MTB’s

1k on 36 months? I wouldn’t have thought they’d be much choice out there with that requirement is there?

I’ve found that cx bikes don’t make good winter road bikes at all!
I used mine as a winter bike, as I couldn’t afford another bike at the time, but the geometry & gearings just isn’t ride for many road miles.
I’ve since built up a very budget build Ribble as a winter bike & it’s great-love the thing & keep my cx bike for what it’s designed for.
A cx bike certainly has it’s place & can be great fun in the right place at the right time, but replacing a fun hardtail isn’t it.

Nukeproof Mega-I got one for pretty much the same reasons, although it’ll be going fairly soon.

When you bleed it, you’re only bleeding the hose & button, not the post itself.
Sounds very odd, but like there’s an internal problem somewhere.

There’s a lot of Reverb bashing on here, but they’re one of the few that can be fixed in a decent LBS without having to be sent away for weeks waiting to be done.
(not suggesting you’re reverb bashing-just going by previous threads)

Hopefully I’ll be able to let you know about the Cube next week if all goes well!
They’re waiting the the Shimano hydraulic brakes to arrive at the moment & that’s the main reason they haven’t been shipped already.

52.4mph in the Pyrenees in July.
Still some way to go, as I want to hit 100kph, but haven’t found the right decent in the right weather with enough bottle yet!

Our workshop manager has just had a set fitted & really rates them.
Didn’t want to in all honesty given the issues we’ve had with Avid’s in the past, but fitted a set to see how they go & they’re brilliant.
Massively powerful-at least equal to the Saints taken off even with 180mm rotors.
I agree Shimano’s can be a bit grabby in the initial part of the action, but so easily modulated they still feel great!

I like the Challenge Grifo Pro’s if you’re after clinchers? They’re about the best I’ve found without going to tubs (which I am doing this season for racing)

Freehub body is dead/dying & wants replacing.
They’re a non serviceable unit ( not worth doing anyway) so fit a new one & give the rest of the hub a clean out & fresh bearings while you’re at it.

    cable routing?
    Using old cables?
    Front mech seized?

They can be tight on some rims, but they do go up tubeless great!

Although if you think they’re difficult on WTB rims, try fitting them to Enve’s….

Have you checked the chain for wear? Or that the chainring is even the slightest bit hooked over?
They’ve got to be perfect for them to run properly & I’ve come across both, even with that sort of mileage on.

Either linkages, as pretty common cause on most SC’s, unless it’s got a Renthal Duo stem?

Axel length is determined by the chain set, not the bike. Might be worth just asking the seller what it’s meant to have?
Although road triple, it’s more likely to be a longer (118mm+) than a shorter one.

I can only go by my personal experience as a mechanic in a very busy shop.
We’ve fitted 6 sets this year I think on custom builds & they’ve all been back in for hub issues.
    Hope hubs-around 20 pairs so far & only 1 warranty…

Easton will let you down when you need spares
Mavic wheels are awesome ( on a road bike) they’re nothing but loads of niggly problems on MTB’s
E13 I haven’t had any experience of yet.
Hope/Stans look dull but work & are mega reliable.

I bought a cheapo Ribble off their clearance list & built it up as cheap as I could using 2nd hand parts.
Result-reasonable road bike, 10speed Tiagra with mudguard clearance, so perfect winter/commuter bike for around £350/400

    M6x1.
Easy enough job, just be a little bit more gentle next time, or better still-invest in a torque wrench then things like this won’t happen.
