I used to use a lot of soap and had all sorts of problems with my skin. Now I shower once a day, but only one application of soap and then a long long warm rinse. Not too hot. Skin feels great :)

If all else fails you can take the driver out, place it face down and on a large pile of tissue (enough to contact the surface of the driver but not so it’s taking the full weight), then apply 50/50 IPA and water behind the affected area so it solves the sticky stuff and it’s then captured by the tissue.

    Probably…..

    Haha, what the hell man.

Carbide cannons make life in the west, eeer, exciting over new year.

And if you think that’s nuts, check out what happens on the one night of the year you can legally use fireworks… Last night I witnessed the entirety of Maastricht trying to kill itself by letting 25m fireworks off in the middle of crowds and streets full of people.

WRT your title, stick the flavouring ;) in a ban marie with your butter as required in the recipe for two hours before using that fat in your cooking. That works a treat.

    >notch out of midrange…more realistic

I can imagine that would work, there’s a few ripples in my setup now and I quite like the way it accentuates certain overtones etc.

I found myself having to commute almost 2 hours a day….

    So I bought a yr 2000 MR2.

As a handy side effect I can use it to explore the continent

Like playing the trombone, it is always amusing, and I love driving with the roof open and the blower on, even in the winter.

Cured mine with daily application of neat tea tree and lavender oil mix, combined with sunlight and salt saturated water. Ok it’s not exactly beach weather, but I think you can DIY it….

Eeer, sorry to bring this back up but I casually looked at the wiki for “supercar” and it says:

A supercar is a luxury, high-performance sports car or grand tourer.

The term is used in marketing by automakers for unusual and expensive vehicles, and has been used to refer to at least four different sorts of cars:

Limited-production specials from an “elite” automaker

Standard-looking cars modified for power and performance

Models from smaller manufacturers that appeal to enthusiasts

One-of-a-kind “showcase” project vehicles built by custom car retrofitters (usually extensively modified collectible muscle cars or grand tourers updated to the latest “streetable” racing technology).

So, it seems the definition is pretty broad!

Oh we did the Lister already. Well, maybe you can vote again with every forced induction system fitted.

I thought we’d established the thread is supposed to be about retro cars not retro “humor”

Another post, though I gather it was only a concept:

Does that mean I need to buy a faster car or paint stripes on this one? I think she looks quite fine on her winter wheels there, so she’ll remain as she is :)

The username actually comes from my helmet hair, which is somewhat permanent!

Anyway, there’s been some lovely cars posted in this thread :)

I think I’d like put forward a 7 litre twin supercharger V12 Lister Jaguar, how’s this:

    Apologies for detailing the thread.

Holy hell am I enjoying myself today. Passed the import test with no troubles and I’ll have done around 300 miles by the end of the day.

Sadly I have to leave her off the road till I get my real Dutch plates in a couple of weeks from now :(

good_hifi on eBay (shipping from the Netherlands) sells nice surrounds.

On older mission speakers, especially those with clear polypropylene cones, the plastic become hard and brittle with age. This may affect the sound, and certainly makes them easy to break.

I understand your point, but I disagree: the 1000hp golf is an exceptional car, and would exceed the performance of all expectations of normal drivers in all ways. Therefore; it seems logical to call it a super car :) And the ¨bloke down the pub test” seems only to prove that ¨the bloke down the pub¨ is a bit narrow minded ;)

Anyway, it? OK I?l just let you guys post other stuff… Ivé got a 5 hour first drive in my MR2 tomorrow so I? happy enough with that!

    gofasterstripes

I guess what were drilling down to here is what we find “super” about a car. In my case it would be performance above all else…. Hence props for the MR2 (rather impractical), the AMG Hammer, and the oh-shit-here’s-the-boost Skylines :)

Yet the NISMO R32 is faster around a track than many of the cars in this thread. Doesn’t that count?

    >GTS?
