7890 or 7870k? Built in graphics very useful, will accelerate some other tasks (Photoshop, transcoding), can do some gaming and will also allow a low end graphics card to be added later, where it can work together with the APU for a cheap gaming boost.

That article has some suggested components, and the Ars Technical or Tom’s Hardware budget builds will be great references too.

anyone know if its possible to load a cd into bluray, then rip it using the firestick plugged into side of tv? cant see any other way of me being able to rip my music, thats my only cd drive in the house (we all have chromebooks).

Borrow a machine and rip them all, a laptop maybe. Then save to an external HDD and then move them files around with the Chromebook?

CD’s with NO print over the foil side degrade badly, they get “holes”.

I am currently suffering greatly from a rash of damaged equipment.

In my research I have read up on this sort of keyboard error, it’s likely the beverage has damaged the printed conductive traces in the keyboard, your option at that point is to completely strip the keyboard, separate the layers on the microswitch membrane, find the damaged trace and repaint it with PCB trace repair paint.

Put it this way, I am a huge geek with some time on his hands, and I still haven’t actually bothered on my £100 keyboard (which failed after a wipedown with a damp cloth FML)

If it’s the motherboard the the easiest way to keep working is to just whip the HDD out and whack it in another machine. I’d do a full backup AS SOON as you have any access to the disk, if you try some software repair and lose the files at that point you won’t be happy!

I think what you could do with is a neighbour with a computer to test the parts in.

I am afraid it’s unlikely to be me, willing though I am, as I no longer live in the UK.
