Take a Chromebook. Or – boot the Mac from a read-only USB.

    It’s much the same thing.

Personally, I’d spray it with brake cleaner and set fire to it.

    Pretty sure I had

1 puncture in 4 years with Marathon XR (HDguard model)
    And
    0 with the Specialized Armadillo

    No tyrespunk necessary

Top end Specialized tyres were also near puncture proof on my commuter 🙂

Nope. I had a set and they rotated around the rim under braking.

    Just get a high-end Marathon.

Just in passing – Chrome has some pretty heavy-duty compression built in these days….

Might work, easy to try. You need the chipset driver I think for the ports etc to work correctly, longerm. It’s a bit odd if it doesn’t work out of the box, but it sounds like an easy fix – you just need access to the divers 😀

Try plugging your android phone into it and using Tethering on the phone to share the data signal over USB.

Works for me with WiFi>USB as well as 4G>USB.

Then go and download your drivers.

Reboot the router and the PC, then try network diagnostics in Windows if it still doesn’t work.

Spray it with disc cleaner and set it on fire. It’s the only way to be sure.

I was just thinking if you knew the version, maybe you can crack it over USB…but you have to switch
    DEBUG OVER USB
    on

Be careful on the road, I hear reports of flying Manta Rays.

Call me “PC gone mad” but that sounds a bit risky. I managed to dump myself in the canal 2 or 3 times even as a 12 year old.

Our boats are quite safe. Now, which one would you like to take?

Totally loopy idea – decent own brand hub available online?

IE – buy a swapped-out good rear wheel with a ?Specialized Stout?Bonty something?etc? – use the hub and stash the rim and [if they fit] the spokes?

I quite like the 540r, and bizarrely now have two, a v1 and a v2, the first powering the standmounters and the subwoofer out looped to another one to drive the sub. That’s 12 channels hanging around to drive 2.1, lol.

At this point I am beginning to suspect a crossover will pay for itself in electricity.
