Google reconstructme its software that uses an xbox kinect to make 3d mesh scans of anything using just the Kinect, your PC and a graphics card. Might be a better deal than paying for it to be done just once. Its amazing, i saw an early demo, and it’s only got better.

I could really do with an Apple laptop – I could run a couple of copies of my older Apple software on it [Adobe stuff] in lectures, and I don’t hold up much hope for doing it with Chrome Remote Desktop from the Chromebook to the PC, which was plan b !
