I guess the real answer is use the TV to play 😉 Try a cheap StarTech adaptor from ebuyer.

    EDIT:

Another answer is just use a Nvidia Geforce 470 with my particular combination of hardware and software – you’ll get such bad graphical glitches and TDR errors you’ll sell your highly overclockable card just to get away from their shoddy drivers. This happened just now and the flaming thing crashes after login about 50% of the time. Has ever since about mid 2012. Works fine using Win7 with no service pack and with the acient drivers on the DVD from Zotac.

    Newly minted AMD fanboy here.

Borrow this sweet setup. If you feel dizzy just bash the table – the graphics card will move in its socket and the whole OS will corrupt.

Either a worn-out bottom bracket, a lose BB bearing or cup, or perhaps a loose crank. Could also be the crank needs pulling onto the splines better if it’s a Hollwtech chainset/BB.

Just grab hold of each crank and pull sideways/outwards on them, one at a time. Find the source of the wobble.

If you can get the loose bit tightened ASAP, do, as lose bits tend to damage the fittings that secure them. You don’t want to paying for a new crank etc if a “stich in time” would have saved it.

Probably about 10 people, at a guess. Crappy fitting on those things.

What if you just want his help? Before I was on STW I needed a hand – I ordered a wrong size Ragley frame, and only after I had had it faced did I realise my error.

Brant was accommodating and cleared a return and a swap thro’ CRC.

    Nice chap.

I have a copy of this

It’s a 33, but for several reasons it’s better at 45. Mostly because it’s over quicker.

The haircut may improve the path to his ears? A renaissance comes?

As a pescetarian I feel I should be in this thread. What’s going on, then?

The tyres are slightly different too. Maybe the came from the same shop, maybe it’s just been changed a bit for easier offloading. You need more details, and fast.

EDIT – on the ‘bay the grips are all white, push on. On the Pic above, they’re white lock-ons on red collars. I’m guessing coincidence, but go and see it if poss with a big friend or two in the car with you.

That ebay one looks very similar. Does your friend have a frame number or any serial numbers that could be used to ID it?

Having finished my degree – finally got time to change the caps over. As you can see, I had to make a few values up from networks, but I haven’t heard anywhere that this is a problem.

The caps I took out were well out of spec, only one was still OK. Some of the values had drifted UP by 25%! the 4.7uF reads about 6 now. When I’ve finished I’ll be reporting any findings.

9 months cycle touring around Oz and NZ was the biggest. Dorset last year was the best (Sea Barn Farm, thanks STW for the tip).

Came here for decking advert, was not disappointed.

Also came here for people pretending the decking advertisement is not related to OP, or, funny. Was similarly un-disappointed [appointed?!].

    LOL

That’s pretty much just swapping the panels above out for a rectifier and an extra cap 🙂

Just beaten to it – flow batteries are probably the way in the immediate future, IMHO.

Pretty easy to make, uses the panels from a solar charger – Maplin L09BK. Also a low loss 5v regulator and optional resisters to indicate to the phone it’s a high-current USB charger. Caps are usually a good idea to reduce noise on circuits. Charges a 1500mah battery in about 2 hours of direct light.

I also suspect you could use the charger intact and use 4 batteries in it as a cache then attach the USB Reg to the output port you can see in the below pic, [though this would be heavier by a long way].

    Oh hello!

Sorry guys I was busy busy busy busy and didn’t see this. Still am, kinda.

I didn’t manage to make it work, sadly. I think I have learned a lesson about not adding small features ’till the very end.

Andrew had a valiant attempt but it seems it was irreparably buggered.

No worries though, I did the very best with what I had and handed it all in. Just a waiting game now.

My girlfriend thinks I did well though 😉

People have been saying this for years. I’m concerned because they stopped making chains, I hope they aren’t having trouble. While the hubs are very reliable, these FOC Repairs will cost them something.

I wonder if their reputation is actually biting them in the ass?

It’s not hard to do it yourself, if you’re already good at truing. Just get Roger Musson’s book.
