i swapped from oe 2010 pitch wheels to flow ( pro evo ) hoops, hoops feel a lot better and faster, however this may be because i like to chat and ride, i struggle to talk over the Hope free hub so maybe im pedaling more.

Cheers GW that one made more sense.
The people im getting it from cant help, they just sell them, pretty sure somewhere near will be right enough, i’m a keen moto trial rider and ride one of the few single pivot bikes ever made the Scorpa SY, i just set rebound to just under springy and ride, i compete regulaly and do well. I got the Heckler as the rear end feels identical to the Scorpa, im hoping that once its somewhere near spring rate i can just adjust the rebound to suit, for the money the shock will cost (sub £100) i will take a chance if a can figure out roughly what spring is needed.

im not 100% about the sag, i usualy run 30% ish, but this will be the first coil i have had on a bike, the shock will be a new stock Fox van R, its probably only going to get a week of riding a year while im on holiday anyway, and carried incase the RI-P23 packs up. the choice i have is 400 and 450, once i get the thing and have a tinker i can figure out how i want it to run.

I test rode an O5 and a heckler back to back, the heckler felt way plusher, the 5 felt numb and tinny.
Both shocks where set up for me and both bikes where this years.

Just looked up HG73, shimano sell it as a “super narrow” chain, do you know roughly how wide it is?

Its rubbing at 7 oclock, you cant see it in the photo as i put marker on it to stop me looking at it, i will re-fit and photo. its 100% catching, i wonder if the bulge in the chain is pushing it out?

Cruzheckler – What chain do you use?
Unsponsored – Are hope BB’s wider when fitted?
Gloss black bikes are a right bee-atch to photo.

Im wondering if i have a duff frame.

So a 10 speed chain will fit, are they much thinner, are there any 9 Speeds thinner than PC971?

With an Slx 22-36 with bash and proper BB spacing the chain catches the pivot on my 2011 Heckler, im going to space the bb out by 1mm extra, So a slightly thinner chain wouldnt go a miss, i want to run 22-36 with bash not a triple.

Sorry cant do pics at the moment, i put an extra BB spacer in and it seems to have sorted it for now.
Im a little annoyed as i asked the people i got it from about the tight fit and they assured me it would be ok.
Apart from that im very very happy with my new bike.
    Thanks for you help guys.

I test rode a O5 and a heckler back to back, to me the orange felt numb.

Orange needs to move forward or it will die like so many British firms.

I cant see that, fact it there are selling bikes (and expensive ones) the five is a design classic like the Technics 1210 Fender strat ect, people buy them because they are good solid and reliable.
When i buy my next bike i will test the Five again and give them another crack at my cash.

My Pitch did this at first then stopped, i guess it was bedding in, then a few months later it did it again, sent it to Mojo with a copy of the receipt and they sorted it no questions. Send the shock direct to Mojo, the dealer will send it there anyway and it will take longer to come back.
