Pitch is night and day better in every way than the heckler

I kind of have to agree that the Pitch is the better bike and was more fun to ride, Santa cruz market it as “all mountain” but it feels more like long legged trail bike, it felt quicker on the everything but the climbs and decents, in the Alps on long rockey decents the Heckler felt like it would tuck real easy and the front felt like it was made of pasta with revs on, i wouldnt turn my nose up at a Heckler as a trail bike, i just expected it the feel a tougher and cope with the downs better, the New revised bike sound like a giant leap forward.

I went from a large Pitch to a large Heckler both the same 65mm stem, Heckler felt more compact by a mile, but quite tall as the Pitch has loads of stand over, also the Heckler felt steep as a b*stard.
The bike where polar oppersits, tall & short vs low & long.

I had a large Heckler with a 65mm stem (6ft) and there is no way you could describe it as a gate, especialy coming from Pitch.

You will neen new m8x22mm top hats.

It’s only going to be a fair weather bike plus I have a shower at work so mudguards don’t bother me, I won’t need rack mounts either, I like the idea of discs as there are some decent sized hills round here, the bike will be used for more small town and country road type roads than city.

The vet next to me just confirmed its very rare for chips to migrate far (only 20 years experience though)

I’ve seen it loads of times.

I work with stray dogs, about 25% of the time the chip info is wrong, phone numbers are incorrect disconnected ect and in a good few cases nobody has registered the chip.
I also see lots and lots of lovely animals that clearly belong to someone but have no collar or chip and the owners are never found, I don’t think that making chipping compsery will make much difference to bad dog owners, but its got to be a good thing in the long run if it reunites pets and owners, and saves councils money.

I just don’t like people strolling around chatting to me whilst they are naked.
