just been had with a set of wheels described as good but pretty much needing new hubs so been asking on the classifieds for a set of 20mm bolt through wheels and 135mm rear (QR or 10mm) as cheap as possible. Been offered a couple of sets, only one person has replied to me on email.

Noticed the rims are presta, just wandering what the best thing to do is. been reading into this quite a bit, people saying drilling weakens the rim etc but can't see how if rims can be bought as either fitment. just found an adaptor that lets you use a schraeder pump so thats one headache out of the way i suppose

i have found arguements for both valves being better, is it all down to personal preference?

my personal favourite is drinking tea through a time out bar like a straw after nibbling off each end, shame my local shop has stopped selling em :(

awesome trails in brechfa away from the marked routes, started riding there a few years before the trails opened but you have to start at the other side of the forest.

got a quote of £60 – £70 to service hubs and replace bearings but if it needs other things too???

yep for starters, hence why am wandering if it is worth doing or not. might be easier (and cheaper) in the long run to get a different set of wheels.

price of bearings too (not much i know but it all adds up), possibly cones maybe even a hub. i can't rebuild a wheel (never tried) so price could spiral out of control

Thanx for all the info on this, will look em both up today and read about them.

there seems to be a general split down the middle with these 2 makes. between my jackets and my wifes, we have 5 jackets to do so looking for something quite easy and not too confusing to use (if that makes sense) unless they can be done in bulk, but will find all this out later :)

great trails, taking my wife there soon (after she has had enough of Brechfa – unlikely though) only one major climb which is the leg burner but one hell of a descent before it so if needs be bimble up it slowly :)

i was in the same predicament, someone told me to try it without any spacers and it worked just fine and still is after 4 months, just set my wifes bike up like it too, but she needed one spacer on the non drive side to keep the crank arms the same distance the same each side from the frame. don't think this is 'correct' but it works all the same

no it aint got a fox shock, a rockshox bar shock, hadn't thought of this to upgrade yet.
it has ltd edition deore brakes (they are white) so automatically brake better and makes the bike go faster – coz they are white :)

Must agree, ordered 3 different lots for my wifes bike (would have had em all together but kept remembering things i needed and came across some probs while buiding it). 1 turned up next day with free delivery, the other didnt turn up after paying for next day, phoned them and they refunded order, re-did order and paid for saturday delivery themselves and the other turned up by parcel force on monday (parcel force's fault it was late)

now just got to sort out a couple of returns – one being a wrongly stamped disc adaptor, wanted a 180mm and thats what turned up but it is exactly the same as the 160mm one i already got??? Had to buy one locally in the end :( twice the price

Can't fault CRC at all, customer service absolutely brilliant

pretty sure. steerer form base to top is 185mm, headtube is 125mm which leaves me just over 60mm to play with, any alternative suggestions as to the way to go with it?

check ebuyer out, some great deals to be had there thats where i generally go when i need parts to build my computers

your right about the graphics card, unless your an avid gamer or you plan to watch HQ movies etc then a standard graphics card will do the job just fine

something similar to this should do you http://www.ebuyer.com/product/225691

    For sale here

    http://www.singletrackworld.com/forum/topic/fox-springs-mechs-saddle-chainring-cleats-pedals-etc

only asking a tenner posted, it works but is used and ideally could do with a clean
2010 mechs, as long as they are as i stated above doesn't matter whether you go fo deore, lx, xt, xtr etc they will all work

you need a bottom pull or dual pull, top swing 34.9 band front mech (bit of a mouthful) i have just taken my deore dual pull one off and replaced it with an XTR dual pull so am selling the deore one now, but it came off the exact same frame so i know it works
