surely you want a heckler, or a shorter fork?

No I want a short travel full susser with a slack head angle its the future you know!

I think it would be twitchy with a 100mm fork but I would like to build it quite sturdy with the longer fork.

We went up last month and did two good loops that were in MBR a few months ago, probably the best days riding I've ever had. The weather was great and although there was a total of 6000 feet of climbing we were treated to two 6.5km descents. We were out for 10 hours, it was just incredible, we started from the youth hostle at Torridon itself. Whats the name of this book from Kenny Wilson and where do I get it?

Just came back from a superb ride at Dalbeattie, it was like a summers day, it was roasting (well compared to the last 6 months) trails were dusty dry.
I was riding my new Tracer which seems to be getting better with every ride. I was hoplessly slow though, think I did too much on the road bike yesyerday.
    Long live the good weather!!!!!

    Always a dangerous subject!
Its all about balance but I’m too scared to write anything else in case I incriminate myself.

I have had the new tracer for a couple of months now and I think it is the best bike I have ever owned, I have also owned a Blur XC and LT also a turner 5 spot and a flux (it was sperb) but the Tracer just feels invincable. I’m sure that the new Turners and the Santa Cruz bike are also great but the Tracer just feels so stif and the travel feels never ending. I’ve got mine set up with 140mm of travel which steepens the head angle with a zero stack headset, only a little though and I only really noticed it on the really steep switchbacks on the Glentress black route but apart from that the bike flew through everything, I may put a normal cup on the bottom of the headset to slacken things a little but to be honest its probably my skill level more than anything. Its a fantastic bike you will not be dissapointed.

it did not say that there was no top cap when he bought it but even so why sell a headset with no top cap and no refrence to Cris king in the box, the one I had came with a cris king instruction sheet.

I am aloud to ride a road bike occasionally by my mountain bike mates but even if I mention the super girly sport of cyclo cross then I will be banished from the trails forever.

Who wants ride a road bike round and round a muddy rugby pitch anyway!

craig 1975, its interesting what you say about the headset, I run a zero stack on mine because a lot of people were saying that with the normal headset it made the head angle too slack, I’ll maybe try it though. I love the coulor of yours, I saw that in Wheelbase, mine is raw aluminium, must try to get a pic on here, I also never use the pro pedal and mine pedals great

I have had them all, only kidding but I have had a lot of bikes, my last one was a blur LT and the tracer is set up with a 140mm fox fork it just seems to be the perfect bike on the rough stuff, I also have a cotic soul for the more local trails and its fantastic to. I think I have the best two bikes available but I guess i’m biased
