They look good to me are they quite light? Do you think they would be washed out running them in conjunction with hope hid handlebar light

The new fusion is superb, its kinda like a thin Stealth at the front and arms with a fleecy material at the back, its not as warm as a stealth and a good bit more breathable, it will be used for the majority of my winter rides. Its also pretty waterproof. An excellent piece of kit!

I have the same issue I have a spare set of 140mm Foxes that I took from my tracer and fancy the spider 2 but I dont want my two bikes to be almost the same, maybe an orange 5 or a pace 405 or wait on the new ASR 5, that might take a while though

I have an Intense Tracer and I think its superb ran it with a 140 float to start but it makes it too steep so now I have a set of 36's on it and its now one of the best bikes I,ve ever ridden, great climber and bottomless travel on the descents

This is great, the scottish media will go on about how celtic were robbed and how its time for video evidence an Celtic do it every week and get away with in the SPL (specially against the mighty Killie)

i put up a post on this last week, I think that for us shorties it would make a very capable all day bike as well but they dont seem to make an equivalent for the taller people yet! I have a tracer but would like a short travel full susser, mamadirt put a pic of her new tazer last week and I am seriously thinking of that type of thing for myself. Mamadirt, lets see that bike again.

1500 grams is not heavy its very light, I've got the ST's at 1640g and they are superb. My mate has some 1400g dt swiss wheels but they feel a little noodily. Mavics are ace. also got sl's for my road bike 4 years on no problems

i used to be in a mountain bike club with Obree and rode with him often, when I asked how do I get better at climbing he said get a 60 tooth chainring on and go and ride up and down Dundonald hill, he said but its better on a fixy. Aye right! Its not a really big hill but ma wee legs could'ny even move a 60 let alone pedal up dundonald hill. he is a really nice bloke though, roumored to have legs made from girders!

What do you think of the rampages are they draggy, they look like a good all round tyre.

    MMMM! Oranges are nice

two of my mates now have lapierres (spelling is crap)anyway, they both love them and dont discount the spicy I'm amazed at how well it rides in tight singletrack its super agile. My other mate has the froggy and even it rides great in our local woods and we've also been up to fort bill and its done the downhill there, they really are great bikes.

Although I still love the fact that the oranges are made here. I'm a short arse though and the top tubes are very long, the only one that fits is the 14" and that looks horrible

i have a tracer and if you set it on the 140mm setting the shock is much stiffer and not so plush, I now have on the 150mm setting and the travel feels bottomless its superb. its a cracking bike and I got mine from wheelbase who I think have a demo as well.

Thanks for that mamadirt, now you have made me even more crazy as I cant decide what bike to get. I think a four cross on a wee person would be more of an all round bike but on a big guy it would be too small and only really suited to 4x etc

Thanks guys a lot of good tips there, the coffee shop come bike shop is a no brainer, he's got a few other good idea's as well. Watch this space!!!

mamadirt, could you ride it all day for extended periods? I was on a morewwod 4x bike last week and while it was great for bombing about the woods, I want to be able to take it to Glentress and be able to get up the climbs ok as well as enjoying the descents. it just seems to me that a bike with slacker angles would be better for trail centres etc than you typical steep CC race bikes, they are very good at what they do but when you are a little short in the trouser the its hard to get a good fit.

mamadirt that bike looks the dogs b's i am also very small at 5'4" and own a tracer which I am putting 160mm forks on. I fancied either getting the trcer or the tazer for a general mucking about bike, so give me some more feedback on yours.
    Cheers!
