Why do you need travel adjust? I use the Devilles on my Blur LTC and they are superb, never needed travel adjust on any bike, its probably a very under used function on many forks

I have Loperamide but was told only to take them if I had the trots I did take Mebeverine which slows down the actions of the muscules in the gut. I suppose I am a little paranoid about the C word as I have lost two brothers to it but I dont think its that either, I guess I’ll just need to find out what works and stick to that, might try some relaxation or maybe even yoga!!!!
Also I hate not enjoying a couple of beers of an evening

I find it wierd that the government are asking people to save for their retirement through pension schemes. Why would anyone put that amount of money into something when there is no guarentee that you will get anything back, for me 14 years in a final salary scheme, all gone nothing left. Those public sector workers should be ok but in the private sector its a gamble. Property, bank savings or a longer working life is all thats open to us.

Thanks for all the replys folks, I hate moaning and feeling down as there is always a lot of people worse off than me. I suppose if I look back on my life I have had problems with a nearvous tumm from time to time but it never made me feel this ill and weak. I’m scared to eat a meal at night now as it makes me feel crap. Has anyone tried therapy to calm down the stress? or just talk about the condition?
    Thanks for your words guys.

I had the Pace fighters and had no problems and they were great forks. I then bought the DT Swiss ones with the carbon lowers and loved them but because I’m a bike tart I replaced them, wish I had kept them, they had a slightly different feel, cant explain it but they fely very nice. Go for it or get the Bos ones there super as well.

Kirroghtree is the best of the SW trails, it flows great is good in all weathers, for something different Drumlanrig is hard to beat, we should rejoice in the fact that we have so many to choose from, I’m old enough to remember when there was no trails at all. We are all different and like different things.

Hmmm I have an LTC but found it a little steep even with my 160mm Bos devilles, I have an angle set on it now with an extra 1 degree of slack. Thats transformed the bike in my opinion. I would love to have a coil shock on it to try or I might send the RP23 to TF to get it tuned better. I think both are super bikes

Do you think its too heavy for XC? or just not nimble enough?

I have to question the weight thing here, surley if the ride is much better for an increase in 1lb of weight then it must be worth it. I have recently built up a small Blur LTC with Industry nine wheels, Bos forks, Xt and Xtr stuff with Easton carbon finishing kit and the bike weighs 28lbs, which I thought was a little heavy for such an expensive bike but the more I ride it, the better it gets and the faster I’m getting. I think the CCDB would be a fantastic addition to the 5 spot and the weight would soon be forgotten.

Anthem is a good bike but lots of reliability issues with the shock mounts on the frames I,ve seen, the blur xc is on a different level, where abouts are you we have a demo mediun blur xc if you wanted to try it.

I took my mate Yeti 4x up to the local woods and never wanted to give him it back. It rode like a mini downhill bike with a 140mm pike on the front. His gearing was a bit hard for me on the climb, it was a 36 at the front with a 12-25 road cassette. If you geared it right and had an adjustable fork for the climbs it would be superb, I want one!!!!

I run an Aedent up front with a 2.1 crossmark at rear and swap to a HR if its rough and muddy, the ardent is a superb tyre, rolls fast but has good side grip.

The superstar one does not fit, its because of the huge BB shell, I dont think the Lopes one would fit either.

Oi Mr nobeerinthefridge, there will be no catching you this year on your new bike and I expect you to be passing Big JC on the descents. He came out with us last night, not bad considering its only 3 weeks since his broken shoulder

I think there is a tuesday night ride ride from the shop, The Brake Pad, at Kirri. We were there last saturday, it was a glorious day, it was warm and dry fantastic riding if I lived there I’d ride it every day. Lucky you!

It only has 120mm rear travel a LT/LTC has 140mm rear travel. It is also not a 4x bike it is a general trail bike that will take a 140mm fork and I need (want) one

Yip got a LTC as well but that looks the dogs, can anyone give tips on how to get it by the wife without her noticing

I have had the Fox 36’s and Devilles and the Bos are far nicer to ride, feel more like a coil fork and dont dive through the travel the way the 36’s did but maybe that was the way I set them up, we also have 2 pairs at 2010 prices left, a 140mm and a 160mm.
