I read earlier that the last flying electric lightning crashed at an airshow. Bit of a bummer that one.

I think that’s a pretty dangerous road to go down, asking members of the forum to give their subjective opinion on others. A simple post count and number of days banned would probably be the best option.

Be thankful that you only see that stuff on the news. The clothing of choice in my local area appears to be a dressing gown and PJs.

Transformer – a truly electrifying tale.
Raveheart – a documentary on the rave scene and the heart attack capital of the world.
Whisk Galore – a tale of the SS Delia Smith running aground off the hebrides and the locals try to steal 50,000 cases of whisks

No – what is scary if the state of old people in hospital who think that they will be safe to drive when they leave.

The west highland was starts in milngavie and ends in fort william. So what you did was ride the WHW backwards, in the dark on a SS clown bike. Good effort. ;)

I can only assume that Soobalias is trolling.

Soobalias – try the other one – HYPOnatremia.

Also from Wikipedia – Water intoxication, also known as water poisoning, is a potentially fatal disturbance in brain functions that results when the normal balance of electrolytes in the body is pushed outside of safe limits (e.g., hyponatremia) by overhydration, i.e., over-consumption of water.

the teaboy – Well spotted. I got as far as “you didnt stretch properly” and stopped reading.

As you say – Forcing water down yourself can lead to DEATH. Dont do it.

Can we have an award for what is perhaps the most dangerous advice ever given out on this forum.

There is very little evidence to support stretching post exercise leading to reduced DOMS. More likely is that you sprinted out of the door and caused it that way. Warm up a wee bit first.

Say all of his results were removed from the history of the sport. How would the results sheets look then?

Wiggins would have a 3rd place to go with his 1st place.

Taking it to the logical conclusion and remove all of the results of all of the people who have had drugs related bans and what are we left with?

Would Wiggins have been 1st or 2nd in that earlier TdF?

Bit of a slog to get to the top, but once you’re up there it’s fairly easy going. Not many “trails” as such because not many people do the whole traverse.

Both passes are mud central. BEM – you’d be pushing your bike up most of the way and a fair bit of the way back down. Traverse along the tops would be nice if unexciting. BEB – Dalness side would be a brutal push up and entertaining descent if you are good enough to ride something that steep. Again the traverse along the tops would be nice if not all that exciting.

How about a traverse of the Blackmount from Stob Ghabhar to the Ski Centre and descend via the DH track?

crankboy – no you’re missing the point. This discussion is about George Galloway making a comment on what Assange is accused of being classified as rape or not.

I think that the issue of consent depends entirely on the people involved and needs to be taken on a person by person basis. But, I will say that I’ve never came across anyone who withdrew consent at any point.

As an aside – The penalty for falsely accusing someone of rape should be the same as that for rape.

“For the offence of rape to have been committed the defendant must have penetrated you without your consent, or continued to penetrate you after you withdrew your consent, and the defendant must not have reasonably believed that you were consenting.” Definition of rape from Sexual Offences Act.

See – if Assange reasonably believed that they had given their consent, which it MAY have been reasonable to assume, then it wasn’t rape from a legal perspective in the UK. Swedish laws may differ.

It’s an interesting one right enough.

My standpoint is that Assange is being stitched up AND that he’s a creepy assed mofo who needs a slap for what he may have done to those women – rape or no rape.

And they seem to forget that “world class” medical staf dont grow on trees. If everyone was “world class” they’d just be normal.

Your arse is weak and your hamstrings are tight and your lower back is paying the price for it.

What to do to fix it – I’ll tell you for certain when I figure it out myself.

But for now I’m doing lots of exercises to strengthen my core and my arse.

BTW – my back pain got worse as I became more flexible. Bummer.

tony24 – the two most common ways they make themselves look like freaks are a) only ever working their chest. leading to their shoulders being pulled in and forwards because their back muscles cant cope with the tihtness across the chest and b) only doing upper body work so they end up looking like pigeons – i.e. skinny legs.

The pectoralis major and biceps brachii had significantly higher EMG activation during the chin-up than during the pull-up, whereas the lower trapezius was significantly more active during the pull-up.

Either we’re getting our wires crossed or you’ve not read the paper.

What I’m saying is that if you take any bodyweight exercise you could argue that pretty much any muscle in the body was used as a synergist. Take the diaphragm for example – synergist in absolutely everything.
