    Decathlon.

http://www.decathlon.co.uk/full-mtb-summer-gloves-5-jr-id_8057892.html – them. All decathlon cycling kit is sized for midgets. my 5yr old has an 8yr olds size jacket and it’s on the tight side.

One thing stands out in regards to the quality of a guide – the good ones could all ride the stuff they’re taking you down in their sleep, one handed, looking backwards.

There is a huge difference between a bouyancy aid and a life jacket. A life jacket may have provided enough bouyancy to get two people to shore, but a bouyancy aid would almost certainly not. Life jackets tend to have crotch straps to stop them pulling over uncounscious peoples heads and are also designed to turn people onto their back, bouyancy aids do not.

I’d hazard a guess that the adults werent wearing bouyancy aids or life jackets, and that the boat didnt have bouyancy bags in it. I’d also hazard a guess that the guy who swam to shore thought that it was his best course of action and probably his only way of surviving.

Hypothermia and shock kick in very quickly in cold water. A boat sinking without trace would add to that.

No, I’ve known my best mate for 25 years and my wife for 13 years. If I had to depend on someone to save my life it would be my best mate.

In the grand scheme of things – the wife would probably make it into 5th place. (3 kids)

If it was me, I’d go to the GP and see what they said, or if I had the cash I’d be straight off to see a private physio before the issue became chronic when it is much harder to treat.

AFTER that, I would probably go down the accupuncture route as it is a clinically proven/ evidence based way to reduce pain and is used within the NHS.

Go to either of Coll or Tiree. Windy places with the best beaches in the hebrides.

    Windy place = nae midgies.

Picking up and dropping off. AFAIK anything other than single red lines (within times of operation), double red lines or white zig zags at traffic lights/crossings is fair game.

I saw a crash involving a taxi the other day. Clearly the fault of the taxi as they’d cut right across the path of the car they crashed into. Didn’t stop them having a go at the poor woman driving the car though.

A simple straddle type stretch is what you’re probably after. Just stand with your legs as wide apart as they’ll go. Bend one knee and shift your weight over that knee. Hold it until you can feel the tension easing off – just like every other stretch.

I have no idea whatsoever wht xiphon is talking about and cant picture it.

See – if you think about this rationally – if each of those steps was right at ground level, we’d all have a go at dropping off one of them with a bike like that. So, for someone who can do drops like that in their sleep, there is no real challenge to it other than the huge F-Up factor.

Approach at a decent speed – lift the unweight the front wheel – wonder where the roots went.

Is the increased risk of osteoarthritis due to repeated operations acceptable to you? There will be one, I dont know what it is, but you might want to find out if you dont already know.
