Run both Advantage and Ardents tubeless with no issues. Top tip mount them on the rims with a tube and leave overnight before removing the tube and adding the fluid.

I think I would chose the Nukeproof pedals from CRC over a brand I hadn’t heard of before from Hong Kong.

Hoojum – thanks for the advice but already ordered the Meta in White as I didn’t much care for the loud yellow either.

Check out the Nukeproof Mag Ti or Alloy Ti pedals in the CRC sale. Big savings and smart looking to boot. I ride Clipless but still bought the Mag Ti ones just in case.

Ergon grips worked wonders for me. Took a few rides to getter set up and yes they do look odd, but I’m pain free and enjoying the long rides again.

WBC. Not collected mine yet as I’m out of the country so I can’t help I’m afraid. Try the Commencal Owners Club.

I did the C&G level 2 and 3 at cycle systems academy. Excellent course with good facilities and excellent staff.

I’m interested in what they have to say as I’m just about to buy the same wheels but with standard j pull spokes.

If this is only the second ride it could be that they were not per-tensioned after the tensioning and trying. Give Hope a call and see what they have to say, after all the are all mountain wheels and you are riding XC.

Why not service your X9’s? For the cost of a bit of grease and twenty minutes per shifter, it’s worth it.

I’ve been running Elixir R for two years and about 4000km and had little problems other than pad changes and one calliper service which I did myself with ease. I would recommend them to anyone.

I think I will be doing the same Vinny. 🙁

Clamp the end cap in a vice and twist and pull. They are only held in by an o ring.

Something similar happened to me and it turned out to be the rear hub had collapsed internally. Worth having a look.

This is normal, don’t worry. Nice hubs, enjoy.

I recently bought the M162’s and they are my normal size. I also ordered the next size up from CRC (collect plus is amazing) and if I lived in the UK and required to wear thick socks then maybe I would have chosen the bigger size. But as they are summer shoes my regular size was perfect.

Check out the discounts from Commencal direct. I’ve just bought the 2012 29er and like the cheeky git I am, emailed them with an offer €400 below the discounted price, which they accepted. 😀

Commencal Meta AM1 29er. Good reviews, good spec and amazing reductions to be had on the summer 2012 bike direct from Commencal.

I’m looking at getting Hope Pro Evo 2 / Stans Flow Ex and can’t buy the individual components cheaper than buying a Hope Hoops factory build.
Cheapest place for my spec is Winstanleys.
I’m buying the factory built wheels and checking the build on my own stand when I receive them.

Read the instructions. Picking the bike up by the seat trashes the seals and invalidates the warranty.

Excellent, thank you for your comments. My decision, 1 x CM, 1 x SB, 2 x HD and 2 x Ardents on order.
I think that should cover all bases for the moment. 🙂

Never heard of On One tyres and would not have considered a tyre in this price bracket before. Just about to press the buy button but need to know how they perform tubeless. Any experience?

The Fulcrum hubs are easily converted to any standard fitting by replacing the end caps.

If you can wait until April you can have the wheels off my new Commencal Meta as I will be upgrading to Hope Hoops.

Rims: Fulcrum Red Power XL 29
Hubs: Fulcrum 15QR front, 142×12 rear
    Spokes: Fulcrum
Tires: Maxxis Ardent 2,25 front, Maxxis Crossmark 2,1 rear

They will be brand new, unused and in the UK at the end of April. You can even have the tyres.
