Many dog owners think it’s ok for their dog to run at people and jump up because it’s just playing.

This is NOT ok. Bite or not…it’s annoying, intimidating, dirty and all round out of order. I’ll go along with the ‘ban dogs from the world’ plan.

I’m quite fed up of the amount of dogs everywhere. Pretty much all grass park areas are not open to kids to play or adults to hang out because there are dog eggs hidden everywhere. My wee boy often has to hide behind me because someone’s dog is right in his face – under control or not, if someone’s teenage kid ran up to other little kids, sniffed their faces and ran around them inches from their face they’d get a bloody lesson in return.

I won’t start on my thoughts on treating dogs as family…

That’s Persian saffron as brought over by family members. No idea how much they are…!

The way some of them grunt and squeak is comical and I can’t take it seriously, so I don’t watch women’s tennis. It’s annoying. That Halep one was a joke.

Ok, the office girl singing bob marley DID make me puke in my mouth a little bit, but the rest were great! :)

She DOES sound like a classic horsey type who thinks underlings feel grateful for being told what to do.

I’d fling her in the stables and drink beer with the horse. You can regale stories of what a nightmare she is while she snuffles around in a nosebag.

Come up to bishopbriggs/Kirkintilloch. There are a few spots you can use to launch.

Also up the back of Torrance is a lovely secluded quarry pond. Quite small but always sheltered and good for practice. Easy launch 10 yards from the car

Eh? It’s just a stubble muncher. £40 is enough.

I’m answering the posts saying the canal is 3-4ft deep. It could be scary if you fall out and expect to stand up safely!

Much of the canal is 6-7ft deep. I fish it and part of that is plumbing the depth for float fishing. Some of the wide basins are shallower, but I wouldn’t fancy falling in.

A colleague of my wife lost her husband a couple of years ago near Kelvinhead as he walked home from a function at Glenskirlie. fell in at the edge, couldn’t get out and drowned.

A lot of this chat is misinformed.

Loft conversions done before building regulations came in ARE absolutely fine to be called bedrooms. The only query you might have would be settled by getting a specific surveyor out to assess it for safety.

Would you try and get a 5k discount because the last rewire was done 8 years ago and wouldn’t pass current regulations? Or 10k discount because the driveway isn’t permeable and run off goes onto the road?

I think you want basic square section bars plus footpack to clamp to the rails, like THESE

Spanish saffron is very different to the expensive stuff. What you’ll buy in shops here is the cheap stuff. I wouldn’t bother.

I’m lucky enough to have plenty persian family and a tub of the good stuff is their favourite gift. I use it in stews, sometimes rice, and it makes a world of difference.

I’d stick in a bit of turmeric. A family meal size pan I’d probably use half a teaspoon. Just don’t drop food on a nice white table as it can stain!

No advice on the middle East, but on a tale home of 3500, if that’s what it is at least, and £900 rent I can’t see why you couldn’t save 1500 a month if you’re careful. Two years of that would see a deposit of 36000, and a 200k house would be affordable without any stretching.

I’d not do the middle East thing personally, though leaving the UK wouldn’t be the issue.

Please act and do something. Even if you think you can’t.

Always see the same posters all over sexism threads!!! Personally I see some sects of society trying to blur the line between women and men. And it’s not a good thing.

Sister in law has made a couple of offers over home report values and been thrashed by several other offers each time. The market’s strong and there are a LOT of people with access to the money for decent homes.

I’m glad I got the Pulsar over the banshee as it’s got a good bit more room. 3.5kg and it’s definitely compact and light enough for shortish backpack and bike trips.

I had smidge. These things were voracious…in your eyes, collars and cuffs, nostrils. Got the net on but you can’t enjoy a morning with that on, especially not with a 3 year old. Wee chap was a boss though.

Ended up getting a vango pulsar 300 which is pretty bang on. Just a tad low on head height but I can live with that. 3.5kg or so, ideal.
