Their two brain cells don’t engage enough to realise that they look more attractive in their natural skin tone/eyebrow formation/hair colour whether that matches Muppets on ice or whatever …urgh, I can’t even form any sense thinking about this, I’m equally disgusted and bored.

I reckon a high lumen bike light and a tin of sand are as good a defence as anything. Your enemy can’t see you, he can’t fight. YES SENSAI

Again I will disagree. I have been in this exact situation. I would not shaft company B. Morals and all that. Either take company B job or tell them now you don’t want it.

And every day in job B you sit there thinking how bored you are and job A would have been so much better…

Nah, morals shmorals, what a load of rubbish. Go for the job you want the most, regardless of verbally accepting a job or not. As others have said, employers will often see staff as numbers anyway even if they make you feel like they care. When the straps are tightened they show their true colours.

I tend to just get colds from mine too. Not had anything that’s forced me to reschedule customers. Sitting here with a cold right now, but nowt beyond a headache, malaise and sore throat/blocked nose.

The OP sounds like someone testing the waters of sexism… and already it seems nobody takes this seriously coming from a man. If it were a woman, you’d have the Cougars and (I forget the other few sexism junkies on here) jumping down anyone’s throats for being so light hearted.

If it IS serious, do you mind, OP, if I pm you my address so you can print wee cards out and pass them on next time this unfortunate incident happens. I would be willing to help someone in need and let them culprits get it all out of their systems ;)

Gardening. Demand is high, if you’re reliable you can charge proper money. Ok, you’ll need a few grand for tools, but you can start with cheaper ones and quickly upgrade.

Min charge £20 even for ten minute jobs, work an efficient round with minimal driving. I’m quitting a lot of my bigger further away contracts and going more local.

I’d prefer that to the places they’re peeing in at the moment!!!

Yes, mitigated with a sump at the bottom. If it pools I’ll chuck a wee pond pump down there.

We’ve got the swing… I built one with a 10ft high cross bar, slide and 2 swings earlier in the year :) My favourite game is to see if I can push the kids fast enough on it for them to make a whistling sound as they speed through the air

Evidence for this assertion? Ours gets played on lots despite the ladders, though we also have other ladders on a climbing frame – kids like ladders.

Googling! And my own thought process/knowing my kids.

I think you misunderstood then described what i was suggesting

You’re talking about a basic version of the first picture…I’m thinking of the second. Is that right?

I’m lost. Just why are you digging this hole again?

A sunken trampoline… so we don’t have a huge 10ft high monstrosity taking up the garden. Also, kids play a lot more on ground trampolines than enclosed normal ones as it’s instant access rather than going up ladders.

A friend did just this – dug by hand to create a safe(r) environment for his autistic daughter. From his experience of doing it, I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone unless they have access to machinery.

    My arms are machines ;)

A few safety Steves on here today… have fun!

If everything we did was totally safe I doubt we’d manage to cope with life in a few generations time.

Nice in principle josh but that would mean the trampoline is above the ground, increasing the danger if a kiddie were to bounce off the side. I may do what I’ve seen elsewhere and fit the trampoline at ground level but build a doughnut shape around it with soil, then either plant this up or turf it. That way if they bounce off they’re hitting the ground sooner/slower and it also acts slightly to hide the thing from view.

We chose Carly…not a made up name, not too popular, quite feminine. At 8 months old she is reacting well to the name ?

Our daughter is Mathilda, it works in English and Danish unlike many names.
Had a French girlfriend called Aureli once, I wouldn’t recommend that name.

I’ve got a very lovely Belgian friend called Aurelie!

Some of these videos are lovely, but the best ever pop video is Thriller. None of them come close.

Paid our last one off when I was 33, a few weeks before the first bairn arrived. Then we bought a bigger house and should manage to pay it off by 46…juat being sensible and not getting max mortgages. Repayments are only 450 a month so we have an offset and chuck any extra in there to chip down the monthly repayments as we please.

I don’t mind the moss one bit…i just want the kids to be able to play on it the day after rain without it becoming a mud bath. It’s the back garden and I like to let it get a bit overgrown, let things flowers in it as it’s a more fun place that way.

It’s the ideal time of year for a deep scarcity so get it done if you’re thinking about it.

My front lawn looks nice, with a regular high cut. Aerated it 3 weeks ago so should be nicer next year too.

My garden is bloody clay and stays spongy for ages after rain so I have been taking measures. Sadly, the stuff between the drains still stays damn wet for ages, though there’s no puddling now at least.

Still, some people are worse. I am still getting calls to new customers with lawns like this, what with hundreds of new houses going up in the area

Cricket’s a pub game like darts or boules, right? I reckon I could fling that ball and hit the sticks.

I reckon Scottish cricket is almost all relegated to the English that migrate across the borders, and edinburgh.

Another local anaesthetic eye operation. 3 was enough… hearing them talk about peeling, cutting and all while the eye is clipped open and I could see hazy bright lights.

Gave me a general for the valve implant and I’m due another one in a couple of months…aaah bliss

If “kebab” means one of those compressed meat salt fat horrors, then no I do not like kebab.

If it means one of my home made shish efforts with lamb, egg yolky rice, sumak, plain yoghurt and a herby salad with charred tomatoes…oooooh yes!

I got a sleeping mat price matched and it was done by email before I collected in store.

I wouldn’t assume wiggle were making profit on that though…huge shops will slap a low price to simply clear stock at times.

I just don’t get appreciating a film for it’s graphics. Gravity was dull. Super dull, wooden acting and nothing that I found gripping at all. If they all died with no explanation I’d have left the cinema feeling exactly the same…nothing.

Supermarkets have family spaces for vans so don’t worry about that.

The height is more important – needs to be under 2.7m to fit under McDonald’s gantry for drive through coffee…
