I think it fits better, better armour, better stitching, better materials, better customer service and guaruntee(sp).
Spada gear is OK for the money. Most important thing is that it fits you properly, no point in getting something that is uncomfy and distracting when riding a motorbike.

As it's your 1st set of bike gear it will do a reasonable job for the cost. Get it, then upgrade to other gear as the Spada stuff wears out, or you see shinier top brand gear in the sales.
Try for size in the shop before buying, and if possible sit on a bike to tyry it out – riding position comfort is completely different from standing in the shop.

lecht – wanted to vote with my ears first

Wasn't intending to spend a mahoosive amount of money as i already have a Myryad Amp, B&W CDM1 se speakers, Project turntable etc in the other room.
Just needed something compact for the computer room. Still, there are plenty of other places to go – just don't see the point of being a pompous ringpiece if you are supposed to be trying to sell a product to a potential customer.

Ti29 – wee shop, no demo room, gear already sitting there connected up. No one else in the shop.
If he had someone else in for a demo, or a customer was due in who had booked one, a simple explanation would have done.

I had a Moho Slicks/ Slix about 4 or 5 years ago, imported the frame from Merica – cracking bike, but it was a wee bit too big for me as i am a short arse. my riding is mainly around Cannock, and had it down at Betwsy coed – no problems at all.
i would have kept it if i wisnae so wee.

Deadly – i'm also after flooring laid onto concrete. Only 2 small areas – porch and wee entrance hall.
Porch is 1800 by 1000mm- area is unheated.
Hall is 2000 by 1800 – this is where the bypass radiator is, so gets quite warm.
As these are the entrance areas to the house the flooring needs to be hard wearing and easily cleanable. Looking for a lightish colour, preferably natural (possibly engineered). Budget around £200 – £300.

    Any advice?

    ta.

    Currently have
    Shoei X-Spirit Norick
    Shoei X-Spirit Vermullen
    Arai RX7 – Edwards Yellow
    Shoei Interceptor
    Axa X7
    AGV X Vent evo

Quietest is the AGV, AXA is a winter hack helmet, Arai is comy windy and noisy. Helmet of choice is one the Shoei X-Spirit's – light, comfortable, well vented, easy visor replacement, pinlock insert provided as standard, excellent customer service – i took mine to a different shop from where i bought it from when the little rubber nose/ breath deflector wouldn't fit. They replaced the full helmet without even asking for the receipt.

Miisus has hers through Tesco – car wouldn't start today. Guy turned up 15 minutes after the call. Soon as he got out of his van he rubbed his hands and says "Nissan Micra, bet it's flooded", tried to start it, pulled out the fuel pump fuse – Hey Presto it fires up – 30 seconds and the job was done.

Had some lovely shoulder of lamb and veg last weekend. I always start by putting boiling water from the kettle into the bowl first, only need a few hours and the meat starts to fall off the bone.

    tasty

I live just outside of Cannock and the office i'm based in is located just a few minutes from Jct2 of the M5 – 24 miles each way. Fortunatley i don't have to work office hours too ofetn, so have the luxury / good enough boss that allows me to start early and finish early, meaning i can miss the morning rush hour.
M6 is a ballache down to M5, but this may improve with the current scheme to incorporate the hard shoulder during rush hour/busy periods.
Cannock/Stafford areas are reasonably priced for housing. 25 miles to Birmingham centre, easy access to M54 for trips to Wales, Manc about an hour or so up the road, Derbyshire dales and peak district about an hours drive away. Plenty of quite and hilly roads for roadies.
I moved here about 9 years ago and think it is a lot better than many areas of the UK i have lived in previously – Ramsgate, Woolich, Hounslow, Brighton, Lewes, Clowne, Abington, Northampton etc.

Why not try a 6 month rental?

Getting Living room, top and bottom landings, stairs and 3 bedrooms done.
60 ounce m/2 80% wool carpet. 10mm underlay all through, and all door bars.

£820 fitted – that's the trade price for the carpet, no vat, free underlay, free labour.

Sometimes helps to be in the building trade :-)

They hunt sensing carbon dioxide, which is given off by breathing – you are better to try and hold your breath. A mummy style sleeping bag will be no good – they have evolved these hunting skills over millions of years

No good crossing your fingers, lie dead still all night with your arms and legs tightly tucked in. If you hear a buzzin sound during the night – they are out looking for blood 8O

Sometimes find a rouge wasp in the bedroom in winter, one of the bastids bit me in the armpit the other night – swelled up proper. Can't find out where they hide, have looked in the attic, under the flooring etc. Sneaky buggers

I've let my mates borrow bikes off me if theirs are broken, or if they want to try one of mines. If it's summer or spring and we have had a day ride they usually wash the bikes while i'm making bacon and egg rolls, mugs of tea etc. If it's been a winter night ride, the bikes get lobbed in the garage and left for another day.
I know any of them would return the favour if needed.
I like my bikes, but mates are more valuable.

Desmocedici – have you heard on with the track system on – nice.
Would visit John Hackett at Coventry Ducati and see if he could wangle a v4990 GP bike, seen Capirossi's old bike there about 18 month ago – JHP have a lot of class bikes hidden away downstairs.

Original Audi Quattro, can't remember the model, but think it's a 320 something – seem Michelle Moulon ragging one of these – quite spectacular.

Been using the LED3 for a few months now, enough light for my xc riding and occasional night ride on the road.
Battery life is excellent – got the double battery deal at SITS.
Easy to use and adjust handlebar clamp.
Flashing commute mode certainly gets noticed by car drivers.
    Everything seems well put together.
Haven't tried a helmet mount though.

If it's brick use an expanding bolt (but not in the mortar).

Wouldn't be brave or stupid enough to do either of the things they do though.

"non biker" – you can't tell wheter the photographer was a biker or not. When i can't get out on the bike due to injury, weather, missus etc i will go for a few hours walk around Cannock or Mid Wales. There has been many a time i've snapped a few photo's of passing cyclists, and had a chat about the trails and conditions if they are riding the same section over and over.

Feel quite flatterd if someone can be bothered photographing me bimbling along at my own pace.

Christ if you are only getting into full contact after that amount of time, they must be a bit slow in the club. Full contact usually starts after a couple of months. The pain of being twatted in the face, ear, lip, ribs, thigh or bollocks never goes away. The only time you don't really notice it is when you are winning a fight.
    Good luck.

I've got three bikes and the missus gets uncomfortable after about an hour and a half on the Fazer 1000, about an hour or so on the MT01, and about 30 seconds on the v-raptor.
It is effing miserable for the pillion if they are constantly fidgeting, best thing to do is try it out on home turf first, maybe try riding to Wales or do a mini tour round the West coast of Scotland top to bottom. That way you can gauge the comfort for you and your pillion, and work out the best way to load the bike up with gear.
Would reccomend a Starcom intercom, nothing worse for the pillion whnen you are trying to communicate through muffled helmets, also alows both rider and pillion to have seperate MP3's plugged in. Pillin can get very bored.
The bike itself will be no problems.
If you decide to go anywhere and want a place to stop for the night, you might be able to stop off at mine if you give me a wee bit of notice – i live in Cannock, but do understand the Scottish accent!
