Shimano have it in the bag. Simple installation and safety built in without the rediculous torque values required on other cranksets. I’m out as soon as ‘wave washers’ and ‘adjusting collars’ are mentioned in any chainset blurb.

I’ve run Cero and Prime before, both have been solid wheelsets without issue.
Currently running 2 sets of Cero ARD23, one set up with gravel tyres and the other 28 Conti’s for the road. I’m no lightweight and both sets have held up fine, no spoke loosening, stayed true etc. They are well built, no noise, pinging etc.

    I had been looking

Have you done your research on Planet X Ti frames? Who makes them for PX at the moment? Which factory? Compared warranty?

It’s worth paying for a Ti frame from a named brand who ‘double pass’ the welds and can be depended upon to weld in a proper inert atmosphere.

    If you’re asking on here I don’t think you’ve got a hope🤣

Partner is a teacher. Exactly the same as any (indirectly) government funded job. Starved of resources and funding, poor pay for level of responsibility, horrendous social issues to deal with on a daily basis, infighting with bitter and insecure staff, poor leadership and constant redundancy threats. Classroom Assistants have been first in the firing line leading to teachers struggling with special needs in the classroom to the detriment of all pupils.

Train driving would drive you mad! One of the psychometric tests is to see if you fall asleep too easily.

Postie…..you are just a number in a cash generating privatised business (relative is postie).

Property Maintenance. No qualifications, no certificates, bit of practical knowledge and common sense…..I could work 18 hour days, 7 days a week. Couldn’t believe how much demand there was when I started, still can’t at times. I have work queued up, can pick and choose who I deal with and what work I do. Self employed. The secret? Focus on quality of service. TALK to your punters, tell them what you are doing, explain. Easy money and brilliant!

I follow an aviation guy in the US on YouTube (blancolirio). It actually shocked me to see how many flights the Yanks have a day. They’re down to skeleton numbers now.
A coincidental effect on our weather???

Exclusively run 4iiii power meters. Had a couple of frames in the past that had very tight clearance. If you’re not sure, put a little insulation tape over the chainstay and go for a ride round the close. Check the insulation tape for marks. One frame required spacing out the crank arm 1mm so I ordered a PTFE washer from eBay with a 24mm internal diameter. Worked perfectly and the washer was unmarked after 2 years use. Never noticed the extra 1mm difference!

    Standard Stans=no problem through syringe.

Race will NOT go in with the syringe if you have shaken it properly-physically impossible-the solids are far too big.

Just built up from a frameset but they do full bikes at super value direct prices. Not seen many reviews or much feedback.

Into my MTBing and road riding but wanted a ‘do anything’ and winter bike.

Nice balance of steering, not too sharp and not too slow. Stiff and direct feeling when climbing and stomping on the pedals with a good turn of speed ‘feel’ helped by the red colourway of course.

Think we’re going to have some excellent ride adventures together as an alternative to road/off road choices.

I rode and enjoyed both during my brief EMTB ownership.

The EMTB made me ride like a lunatic. I’d ride much further and faster than on my push iron due to the distances I could cover and the feeling of extra speed. I would come back from EMTB rides aching in different places and exhausted, it almost tricks you into thinking it’s easier to ride, sort of stealth exercise. So yes it can be harder. I didn’t lose any fitness, it made me ride more.

I rode the EMTB as a first choice and the push iron in sensitive places or restricted events.

Time/business/family commitments forced me to sell in the end when the EMTB started sitting idle for longer periods. Too much investment to have sat around☹️

I think it’s all about personality. KS and LN come across as decent, genuine people (and dare I say honest!) so let’s see what happens. They both seem to have hit a note with the public. Doesn’t matter if you’re North or South as long as everywhere is treated fairly. I hope KS takes the moral high ground and is adult in his political dealings. That will cause BJ to self destruct, it’s not hard to outwit an idiot.

I’m definitely centrist and KS has immediately inspired me to join the LP (barring my lame MP). I think the majority of the UK are liberal thinking centrists.

PR will also encourage more people to be involved and vote if they think it will count.

As a former blue voter it makes me sick to see people like Philip Green asking for bailouts after paying himself a £1.2billion dividend. Branson is in the same boat, sues NHS, billionaire but wants bailout. The list is long.

    We’ve gone too far right.

I am interested in politics but have not been able to be ‘political’ before now.

I have voted blue and yellow in the past.

I am motivated by KS to actually join labour BUT my local lab MP is probably the most useless and ineffective person I have met. I don’t want to support her but I want to help labour and the UK population.

    Should I join???

Do you have a credible source on that ?

Nope. Just a layman with a gut feeling based on age and experience.

And like other posters have mentioned, the system not functioning, may save you thousands.

    Absolutely not.
Wait until the bottom of the market.
Covid 19 and Brexit will destroy prices.
Save like mad and pull the trigger when we’re at ground zero.
I reckon we’ll approach half current values. IT WILL BE THAT BAD.
Low interest will never trump half values. Interest will probably stay low too after both disasters.

Casual conversation with staff at a BIG bike shop a few weeks back: I USE KMC CHAINS. This after breaking Shim/SRAM chains. Nuff said. Never had issues with Big S’s myself.

DC Raimaker has a production (left hand) 4iiii pod and started testing yesterday.

Garmin Vector ‘standard’ are out of stock in UK until mid/late April, maybe May! Local M*dis*n dealer can’t get decent discount unless he orders bulk, possibly up to 10% discount off single orders to him so 5% to me.

Local shop will discount Stages but admits to returns/issues etc. All sorted by excellent warranty though. Maybe price will level out with 4iiii now? Rumoured to be 40% markup built into Stages so they have space to move.

Very interested in 4iiii and think two pods will be more than any of us mere mortals will need. 4iiii have an established background in producing outdoor electronics which Stages lacked. No doubt the latter will have to substantially reduce prices to stay competitive. I read that Stages have a possible 40% reduction built in and will maintain profit!

Can’t wait for 2015 dog fight.

From a fairly new runner who has tried pronating/normal/cheap/expensive shoes, do yourself a favour: Nike Lunar Eclipse. On the pricey side but absolutely brilliant.
Beware. Every ‘expert’ running shop gave me different advice about size and gait. It’s all opinion.

Small hands and fat digits! The neck on the drop is a lot thinner and more comfortable than the 58 style neck on the Studio. Tried at Dolphin Liverpool store before buying.

Sold my Gibson Studio after playing and then purchasing the Greeny Lemon Drop. I’d had the Studio professionally set up with fret file etc but the Vintage blew it away. Feels lovely and sounds fabulous.

It’s not unusual amongst cyclists. I have read an article in one of the mags stating it’s to do with increased pressure/wind/airborne rubbish being rammed up your snoz. Don’t worry about it. Have you ever copped when you were hot sweaty and cycling anyway? Probably not!

Schwalbe City Jets (26×1.5) worked out at £24 for 3. Reserve and collect though or they’re £17.99 a piece. Great for fast commute.

    First 456C pictured?

Early testing days. Reba Team 120mm forks with Hope headset which includes a 10mm depth bottom race to put the geometry out to 130mm.

Feels good so far-quick and sturdy. And yes, I know the saddles brown!

Formby Cycles good but DON'T DISCOUNT however much you spend.
Merlin at Leyland automatically discount if you buy in store and provide excellent service.
    Buy a Bike also deal.
It's worth getting out of Liverpool to buy.
    Giant store too pricey.

The only guided stuff I know of was for enduro (motorcycle) trails but it was a few years back and I don't even know if they're still going-not that you'd keep up on an MTB!

Not really ideal place as it's so hot.

Been to Crete many times but never done any cycling.

There are hundreds if not thousands of little tracks (single and jeep) leading off main roads all over Crete.

Not sure what access or privacy rules affect peoples driveways/paths but I'm sure the Cretans won't shoot you, they're a pretty friendly lot, although most own guns!!!

Suggest you head inland (south) from Gouve for the hills. Once you're off the tourist strip around the coast, it should be MTB heaven……just take plenty of water and sun cream with you.

A scouting trip in a car or on the bus may pay dividends. West of Heraklion is quieter and maybe more scenic.

OMG! Suppose I could spend some of the £1737.55p I've just saved by not buying the Rocky Horror on some graphics.

Any contributers doing art along with hairdressing and beauty on their Uni course?
