I regulary go out on our local Club rides on my CX, certainly ride all of the ups and all of the flat much faster than the other guys, the downs however are a different ball game, mainly due to lack of braking power that the CX has over the MTB's.
That said, I will still use my CX at most XC events (that allow) much quicker over the distance!!

Could signs not be put up warning of the dangers and stating at own risk?

That's all they do at motorsport events!

Check with the warranty, I seem to remember something about Spesh shocks being warranted for 5 years due to earlier problems. I had a rebound failure on my 07 and it was replaced with no issues!!

I'm getting the same thing, started road riding about a month ago, but about 2 weeks ago started getting some pain in my left knee, it came on after about 10 miles, adjusted the saddle up and it certainly made a difference, very difficult to pin point however seems to come on now around the 30 mile mark. However when I go out on the MTB I get no pain.

Would it be worth booking a bike fitting session?

The bars are the S-works carbon low rise ones not the Enduro and seem just fine. The brakes are Magura Marta SL, which are lovely!!! As for the shock, I have no idea, it's just the one it came with, may just be the photo!!
I did build it myself, however now changed it for a Race Face Atlas in black!!!

Ideal for antisocially braying like a twerp into an iphone whilst wearing a polo shirt with the collar turned up and ruining nice peoples quiet evenings in the pub beer garden

Don't do or have any of the above, however far better glasses for me than the Juliet X-Metals I had before. I also don't wear them for riding, just good all round sunnies.

It hasn't affected the used car prices at all, in fairness quite the opposite. The cars that were scrapped had little or no value at all. The whole "Scrappage Scheme" was a complete nightmare from the start last year, totally mis-managed by the government, without talking to the manafacturers.
What has resulted, is all the cheaper cars have been sold because the makers were not able to build cars in advance, which in turn has lead to massive lead times for new vehicles – currently 5 months for a new Polo, I know other manafacturers are in a similar situation with all their smaller cars.
It was also an absolute Paperwork nightmare, plus all documentation has to be held onto for a further 7 years, during which any dealer can be audited.
The cost was also hidden as the government only paid the dealers between £850 and £870 depending on the VAT rate, the rest came from the manafacturer and this will have been passed onto the dealer without a shadow of doubt.
We definately don't want it to come back.

I have the Bold, upgraded it a couple of months ago to a Motorola Blur….Hated that and gone back to using the BB, far better phone IMHO. All I hear about the 9700 is that it is better again.
