I also have to use the hammer blind bearing tool and it works well. I did need to soak the bearing cup in WD40 beforehand. I had to use that tool to remove some bearing cup seized in my Hope hub as well, so you might use it for other job eventually.

That was a good idea but it didn’t work! I would have to go back there…

Look for my name on Strava and download the gpx files. All mainly from Longleat. I might be able to show you around on Sunday if I don’t have to clean the greenhouse.

Thanks. I was trying to keep it not cheeky as it’s not shown on the os map as neither footpath nor bridleway.

My trip to Moab in September. The best ride was Portal Rim as it was the last one of the week and jetlag was all gone by then.

Super jaloux! Always wanted to ride the Massif of Mercantour, next year maybe.

Last year colours are so much better than this year. I went for blue too.

I remembered expanded the Marin trail by adding a descent by one of the lake on the west side of the trail. “Natural” and man made trail on the same day, best of both worlds.

    Black mountain killer loop, anti-clockwise.

on that last picture, Nan Bield Pass, how far does that singletrack go? I can see quite a long way along the ridge, or does it drop earlier? looks like I got to do it.

Well once you are there, ping me and I can take you to the Mendips! it’s a bit like Clent Hill on a slightly bigger scale but with the same red dust (when summer is dry).

Did somebody say the bridleways around Bath were not great? This is not true.

That’s because they live in Westbury.

nobody asked but what is the weight difference between the Solo alu frame and the carbon Frame?

I had a knee problem in the past and the issue was my back. The physio worked on my back and the knee pain disappeared.

Not sure which S/W you are using, but the pan and zoom option of Moviemaker will add some dynamic for the tripod views.

I will second the Applecross-Kenmore – not too long and very wild!

Here my ride from last year:

mmm that’s interesting, I can’t do the black at BPW with my Solo, and I found the red challenging. So maybe that’s the answer, I’ve got the wrong bike.

Classic Black Mountain killer loop – I think i will try anti-clockwise next time but maybe not the last descent down to Crickhowell.

I got the same one and it works trying to remove some cups from my SC VPP link. I did spray some WD40 before and wait a bit. I tried the boiling water method but it didn’t work- and yes, as said before:

Don’t get angry and smash the crap out of them!

I don’t see the point of riding solo if nobody can’t see your latest carbon frame bike, latest groupset or choice of tyres.

I did the lollipop version of the route, Annat being the start and finish, and it works very well.

I was not keen to do that long road ride detour.

    Thanks Phil, looks good.

Mark, i’m afraid I’m not on holiday this week but it will be great to meet up. What about BikePark Wales for your birthday?

    Here the Lansdown/Charmy Down loop:

All on BWs as well and BWs are properly signposted as far as I remember. A map will help.

I’ve got the MT91 and they are great – Feel like walking boots when walking and as long as the water doesn’t go over, they do keep your feet dry. The laces are not great if you are walking through heather/brambles (i.e. when you can’t find the b***y paths) as the elastic bit is a bit pathetic. The Vibram sole is top. I recommend them.

I’ll see what you mean – You got up from Annat, go around Sgorr ruadh and back to Annat…less road
