Dekerf is basically a Ti version of the very under-rated 853 Implant and that gusset is there for a very good reason…

It’s for riding, not looking at 😀

Had mine for just coming up to a year and love it, feel in love with the looks when I first saw the pictures nearly 2 years ago and ordered on straight away, waited nearly a year and it finally arrived.

Run as a single speed with a nice Ti seat post and Jones Alloy bars, very comfortable and great fun with classic looks, currently battleship grey with Pink King highlights

Also has belt drive option which I’m looking into as the rear chaistays are split on the drive side

Thought they were a limited 1 year only run but guess they have re-coloured a second batch

Did know of a cheap Medium framed bike locally but think it’s been sold now

Totally depends on size of text and also colours used and number required to a degree

Normally something with a letter height above 10-12mm would be a pre-spaced cut vinyl, this comes with an application tape so no need to fit single letters, all fitted in one section

This is durable and can be clear coated if you wish as long as the frame is not oven baked to cure the clear coat

Lettering smaller than 10mm or with fine detail would be printed onto a clear base and cut to a 2mm outline profile, same as above applies for clear coating

Lots of other options, drop me a email for more info 🙂

SSWC event, was good as always, only going to repeat whateverbody has said already, Excellent course and good people 🙂

So good to see Bob Haro, that guy is a legend

Looking a little older now but the “godfather” of it all, guess Go-Karting still makes a little money

I regularly ride the trail in the other direction from Lilla Howe following Little Eller Beck and then onto Simon Howe, beautiful bit of trail

I have met National park rangers on the trail on several occasions and asked the same question, three times I have been greeted with blank faces and “you’ll be fine” just give way to walkers…

The trail you are talking about is only an extension of this, I would say the section you’re looking at can get very wet and quite overgrown later in the year

    Hope that helps

Tarty bikes have done me proud, shell swapped and returned in under a week, just finished building it into a wheel 🙂

If your looking to swap shells and don’t want to bother Sheldon 😉

    I highlty recommend Tarty Bikes

I don’t think Bromley are “in question” I am sure they have lots of happy customers, I just wanted to give the “new guys” a chance too

Tarty bikes deal seems very good, just over £5 for a shell swap seems an amazing deal

Kaesae, thanks for the offer but looks like I will give Tarty a chance on this one, the S/H hub seems fine internally without too much wear as do the bearings

Thanks for everybodys help, will report back on Tarty’s deal

That’s what I’m trying to do but everybody seems to be coming back with a negatie feeling

Price wize Bromley want £44 and Chris King UK are on an offer at £32

I have had a little communication with King UK but nothing off the back of asking about their relationship with King USA

Site looks quite nice beyond a few typos and I would like to think their work is of a good standard but just wanted to see if anybody agreed or had experience with them

Touched by the hand of Sheldon 😯

    I am not worthy…

Sure you’ve got more than enough on your plate without having to swap hubs around

Not sure if it might need any parts, it’s a S/H hub which seems fine into a new shell, don’t think it’s previous owner showed it a lot of love but all seems fine inside

At least it’s not just me being a bit unsure…

It’s just a straight hub/shell swap which Bromley have said is basically a rear hub service, I know they have been around for years and must know the hubs inside out but the other site seems quite convincing

Hoped somebody had used them (Chris King UK) then I might trust sending the hubs off, sure there wouldn’t be a problem but you always wonder

Guess nobody has used their services?

Short of being able to ride round the forest drive that’s about the limit and even that’s hard work climbing up from Staindale lake

Trails are at least 6-8″ fresh snow on top of about 12″ of ice and that doesn’t even mention the fallen trees, I would forget it for about a month at least and that’s if we don’t get the snow on Tuesday….

Anyone looking for a taste of “full fat” I’ll be in Dalby again tomorrow, yes I know the trails are closed, but even the Forest road is pretty challenging at the moment

Should be in from 10.30-11am until 2’ish, bike is a 18″ Pugsley with SC32’s on the front, Larry front, Endo rear, crank bros pedals, geared but conditions limit number available 😉

Post up here if your keen 🙂

Be warned you will end up buying one once your riden it 😉

Still would say the SC is the easiest option or a DUC if you want a bit more travel ~ Happy Christmas 🙂

Set my Pugsley up with a set of SC32’s this year, running a 29er spacer kit in them, to be honest I have only used it in a min 12″ of snow so can’t really confirm dry trail handling/advantage but as a fork they have always been good for me

Clearance is fine with a Larry and wheelbuild is pretty straight forward with the 24mm hub into a Large Marge rim

    Seems like the easiest option…

Loving mine at the moment but almost too much snow on the open ground, think I have found the limit of riding around 24″ of powder

Now running an SC32 on the front, works great in the dryer conditions and stops that “unbalanced” pull to one side when you get it up to speed

Buy one now you won’t regret it 🙂

I know it’s not really in keeping with the “single speed” feel but…

Decision and press release should be out by Dec 1st.

Spoke to a couple of rangers yesterday and the issue is not only with the snow but also the weight of it…

All the trails are full of debris, anything from small branches to big lumps of tree, even if you know your way round you will find most of the trails blocked by trees

Would guess it will be a while before these are cleared out…

    …Prize giving

People got prizes and went home happy but all a bit…standard

Was it me or did it just drag on a bit, maybe I just needed more beer

    Start…

Not really what I was hoping for but I guess trying to mix up 1000 bikes would take some doing

Fun to see the “wannabe” fasts trying to get out of the ring into the walking queue for the first hill, maybe slighlty too big an entry as the route usually runs around 300-400

Don’t take the above as critism, excellent event and amazing route, all credit to all the guys in the background making all the extra effort

See you all in Ireland 😛
