Get a web designer 🙂 They spend their careers learning how to do this kinda stuff properly so you don't have to 😉 They help keep the web clear of DIY websites 🙂

Don't forget cross browser compatibility 😉 DIY sites usually forget about that.

No prizes for guessing what I do for a living 🙂

    Gotta love this site…..[/url]

Just tell em you want everything they're selling and watch their faces light up!

Tell em your name is Les.

Then tell em your carer will be back soon with your blankety blank cheque book and pen to sign up for the super deal!

    Winner 😉

? If I'm pointing down some rocks then I like to be out of the saddle with a bit more travel and a slacker head angle i.e. 130mm. The steering will feel more stable and I am less likely to fall off ( go faster too 😉 ).

If I'm off for a bit of light xc then 100mm is all I need and the steering will feel more sharp. As you said.

    Horses n' courses 🙂

I think he wants more travel glenp. I run revs on my GT hardtail. I wind it to the type of riding I'm doing. That's the beauty of the u-turn feature.

I have used it on my GT frame at 130mm on some pretty hard riding so the frame seems up to the task. Can't speak for all 100mm frames 🙂

Take it down a rocky descent for the steering 😉 Will feel great compared to 100mm and tight head angle!

Im 12.5 kitted up and have just got a firm spring for my pikes as it does dive a bit with the medium in there.

I reckon this is the problem as you could dial it in the air rev.

Don't think the floodgate will have anything to do with it.

Wow, this thread has gone ape!

I think we should all stay indoors as the outdoors is a dangerous place…. 😉

Im not sure what "our" sport is. I assume yours is "driving like a bit of a bellend."

Have you ever seen my driving? So that means anyone who has driven over the speed limit anywhere is a bell end? So you can put your hand on your heart as say you've never speeded? Not even by accident? Bull!

I have a big fat zero on my driving licence and never have so I must be a pretty skilful bell end! Though I prefer to think of myself as a bell wizard 🙂

I sometimes speed, but not in built up areas where kids can run out. That is just asking for trouble!

Not sure why people are moaning about speed on here. Isn't that what our sport is about???

Not advocating speeding, but surely it depends on by how much? If you're doing 80mph in a built up area you are a selfish c*** as you can't predict what's happening. If you're doing 65mph down a country road that allows 60mph then you are going a little quick. Not saying it's right, but it's not the same. As long as you can see and are in control. Think the same goes for flying down a trail!

The trick is to not get caught…..

Now in NZ they hide the **** things! I learn't the hard way 🙁 I did however do a bit of a dukes of hazard style hiding down a side road till the cop, who had turned round to chase me, had gone.

I certainly appreciated the stiffness in NZ with the Pikes! Rocky descents and dropoff's galore!

I have coil pikes at the mo so I would want the air lyrics. My frame can take the travel lyrics have so as long as they are u-turn it's all good. As mentioned the pikes are meant to be stiffer so wouldn't want to put revs on.

ah, the sektor the budget rev. Looks like it.

k, so the pike is dead.

What is the difference between a sektor and a rev? Both 150mm travel.

Had revs on my hardtail for a while now. Not really new. Would be nice to replace my pikes with some lyrics when the wallet feels a bit heavy. Might be a while 🙁

Nope, it's his religion so let him enjoy starving himself over a false idol. It's a free country. As long as he doesn't expect you to join in then it's fair play. If he does, then he needs to pull his head in. IMO 🙂

Most walkers in Malvern seem to appreciate a bell warning.

must mean it's time for cucumber sandwiches and a flask of tepid tea 😉

Do they sit down and start rummaging in their bags when you ding? 😉

    Sorry, couldn't resist 🙂

    Sorry, rant….

Why is walking the holier than thou activity? I hike sometimes(if the bikes are broken or not at hand) and don't give a toss if someone wants to do it(walk)on a bike. Good on em!

I suspect it's cos they are either too old/lazy to ride a bike or they can't afford a nice stead so make our lives a misery out of jealousy. They are usually the type that are so fooking boring it hurts! I'm sure it's some of those ****'s that try to run us over when we have to use the road. I'm thinking of getting some gladiator spikes for my handlebars so if they get too close, they can paint their car again.

Out of interest, has anyone ever had a successful response from using a bell on a bike(not that I have one, honest). Tried it once on a hire bike and the people freaked out, flapped around and got more in the way than they were before. I find using ones voice is an adequate tool for the job "oh, walker, shift it!". Winner 😉

    rant over 🙂

Are these bikes for riding down fun technical trails or looking at in the Garage?

It's like me not riding the bike in case it gets scratched….. It's gonna get scratched! If it saves me the boring job or scrubbing the bike, then so be it. By the time the paint my be affected I will have scratched most of it off having fun on the thing! Then I buy a new one and the process starts again 🙂

If it clears out the crap from the bits I cant reach without taking it apart then its a winner cos I can get on with drinking beer and knocking up a curry 🙂

Compared to the rubbish I usually leave on the bike cos I give up trying to fish it out, it's not gonna be that bad. Just re-grease and lube the bike and I'm sure it will be fine.

If I have to replace and component a month before cos I use the stuff so be it cos I can't be arsed with the time it takes to get the crap out manually with soap and water. Time is money….. 😉

Hmmmm, there's the American Express building just down the road. Guess it's big compared to most buildings in Brighton. Just got back from NY so everything is looking a bit toy town at the mo 😉

yeah, was looking at the size of it. It's tiny compared to somewhere like epping forest.

Where are the fireroad trails? Or do you just mean the South Down tracks?

Right, so people should go to the lbs and buy the tyres they don't want as the lbs doesn't stock the ones you were looking for…..

Sorry, but lbs are great in some respects, but after researching an item I want to buy that item, not something else cos of limited stock. Don't have a week to go to all the biking shops in the South East.

Please don't get me started on Halfords…. Last time I went in they only had maxis downhill tyres and 2.1 tyres! Brilliant! So super small or downhill! Mint!

    Rant over 🙂

I ordered some jockey wheels from CRC and they came next day. Ordered some inner tubes and muck off last Friday and am still waiting… Lottery me thinks 🙁 Don't forget the post service is arse 🙂
