Been to Southampton but I’ve never been to Scunthorpe

To begin with I’d concentrate on making a sound that you recognise. Forget learning proper chords for now, they are hard, require several fingers and hurt, both in a sharp on the fingers way and also in a muscle achey way.

5ths or power chords only need two fingers and are the same shape all over the fretboard, just moved up or down a bit.

Slide the selector switch on the guitar to the back or second from back position for a meaty rock sound and let the fat of your hand rest on the strings, damping them, you’ll be a rock god before you know it.

My mate pissed out of a tall tree, but the wind changed and it blew all over his legs, how we Laughed.

Yo homes, keep an eye on gumtree, guitars are hard to learn and so get sold on cheaply after very little use, squier’s classic vibe and vintage mod range are very decent, their affinity models less so. You’ll also probably find a practice amp and cable all bundled up and ready to go in nearly new condition, have you got a mate who plays that you can take wih you?

I agree that the central chilli in the pic looks a little like a scorpion, knobbly and with a curved tail. Treat with real caution. Incidentally, how the flip do I post s pic direct from Flickr

I had a decent crop of prairie fire chillis this year, all started from seed that had come from fruits grown by my sister the previous year. Pretty easy to grow, P Fire aren’t very hot so you need a handful for cooking with (around30k shu) . I’ve also some young Trinidad scorpions I’m hoping to get through the winter as well as scorpion seeds for starting in the new year.

Buy a red poppy, tippex it white. That’s what we did at school, 25 years ago, the last time white poppies were popular.

Interestingly, though not very, cougar used the word ‘verboten’, showing a knowledge of German. However, in Germany, ‘Asian’ means originating from farther east, and ‘Oriental’ (again a word which ought to be used with consideration) means coming from the Middle East and the Indian subcontinent.

This feels a bit like the gun argument.

I used to deliver really fast cars, then I’d get in my regular old Citroen and drive home. No need to drive like a cheesemonger, no matter what you’re in.

I travelled a couple of hundred miles north on holiday to Buxton, only to meet my next door neighbours walking down the street. Weird, had no idea they were even going on holiday, they were supposed to be looking after the cat.

Brighton beach, Fat Boy Slim concert with a quarter of a million people in the crowd. I bumped into my brother and shortly after, the boyfriend of my girlfriend’s sister.

Tried a quick endo / tail whip in the garage on my Canadian mate’s Bmx. Brakes where set up Euro style and I flung myself to the floor like a suicidal haddock, rupturing my spleen. Stylish…

I get an ad for some sort of Fluoro orange bum bag, what is this, 1994? And tubeless kits, neither of which have ever disgraced my google searches. Bring on the ladyboys, I say.

Doesn’t all alcohol have the same effect, the effect of alcohol? how about legal highs? Mm tasty, if the scumbags of my town are to be believed.

Don’t blame a certain type of booze for making you act a certain way, you got drunk and acted like a tit.

Just back from another Trailstar flavoured grin-fest, the thing is so bloody great that, sod it, I’m keeping it.

Maybe it’s not so fast or so confidence inspiring as newer frame geometry, but hold tight and lean hard and it’s as rewarding a ride as I can handle.

I don’t need anything new, I ragged the Trailstar round Innerleithen a few months back and it was just fine, I’ve got the pitch for steeper stuff, just wondered If I was missing anything important. Dartmoor Primal cheap new on eBay for 160ish

The only thing we can talk from this is that indeed ‘these Germans are crazy’. I use it as a daily excuse for not learning the language properly.

Hmm, my gf is German, according to her hans dampf means a clumsy person, an oaf, though (from my translater app) as part of the phrase ‘Hans Dampf in allen Gassen’ means a handy guy to have around, so who wants an oaf when you need a handyman?

    These Germans are crazy
