There was never any chance of Kelburn hosting a round of the Scottish enduro, poor access and the longest descent is a max of 2 minutes.

The Satmap active 10 or 12 is good. 8 hour battery life and also can take AAA batteries when out for multiple days.
    waterproof and durable.

Multistrada is a good choice. I’ve had some teething issues with the electrics, the thing is like a space shuttle.
Hopefully all sorted now, an awesome bike for fun and touring.

you can reclaim the VAT if its over £1000. I have a van through my ltd company as do many of the people i work with. I also know people who have converted the van and claimed it back.

I’ve been using mine for the last 18 months or so and my only complaint is the screen is damaged to easy even with the cover on dirt still seems to get to it. Apart from that it’s worth the money.

I’ve got 11 speed XTR and the shifting is very smooth and slick, it did take a little tinkering tho to get it running perfect.

I was thinking that, i suppose my 12 month old bike will be classed as retro then.

i’ve not heard or seen anything about the new tallboy although it seems to be the way most new bikes are heading.

i ride a xxl LTC, did have a solo and it was a bit small.
also had a go of the new nomad XL and it was way to small. I’m 6ft 3in.

I’m sure someone mentioned that endura moved from their base in Scotland to somewhere abroad. I use to rate their stuff but my last two pieces of clothing disintegrated or ripped after 3-5 months.

    Maybe it’s just a coincidence……

    Its got to be Invisiframe.

You get what you pay for… which is a neat, tidy, finish i’ve used it on my current and previous bikes and its been faultless i’m sure it uses 3M .

The suspension kinematics (anti squat/lever ratio/chain growth) of the new version have barely changed with moving the lower link (unlike the Nomad which changed a lot).Have a look at the graphs on Linkage.
It’ll either be a set up/shock tune or you desperately trying to not justify replacing the old version

I don’t own one i did however have a solo and now ride a LTC

Gfrew… How so is the climbing rubbish? They’ve only slackened the head agle a degree, increased the ett, reach and seat angle and reduced the chainstays- which will only help things when pointing up.

Is it the moving of the bottom link? Or was the shock not set up for you?

Just my opinion, the front was lifting all the time and made climbing a bit of a nightmare especially if it got technical, also suffered from a lot of pedal strikes.

PS. If you get offered a new bronson be sure to get a demo first the new one isn’t very fun when it comes to climbing.

similar thing happened to my mates bronson at the rear axle. His was replaced under warranty although he changed to a nomad.

I’ve been riding a LTC carbon for the last 6 months and its the best bike I’ve ever owned.
amazing for big days out and very capable of hammering enduro and alpine descents

i’m a firm believer of you get what you pay for thats my problem.
My bike is perfect the only thing left is the wheels. At the minute I’m running a set of crossmax which have been excellent so far.
I also seen a brand new (first ride) ibis carbon wheel go bang in the summer. I think thats what may be putting me off a cheaper brand.

Sadly the second hand market is rubbish; I ended up selling a carbon SB66c top spec for £1700. No warranty is a major issue for folk too, especially with carbon.

I know mate I’m sure it will sell eventually.

    ….yeh, but if it hasn’t sold….

I get your point, although i reckon its at a good price I’ve seen some frame only for £1800
